I heard this song in the early 1990's while touring beautiful Nepal with my Dad as a kid. I remember having completely fallen in love with the song, so much so I had bought a cassette which included this song at that time, although I didn't speak Nepalese and still don't. Music has no barriers. Listening to it here after decades and it brings back such wonderful memories of my travels with my Dad. Thank-you so much for posting this!

Nepali language derived from pali with devanagari script though Danny Denzonpa is from sikkim and native language is sikkimese but nepali is spoken language . One of the most beautiful compositions. This song reminds me of all my beautiful days in Nepal, Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong. I have traveled throughout Nepal during childhood with my family and also lived in Sikkim, as a result I can speak Nepali and understand it, and hence deeper appreciation of the lyrics and song.
