Hi, first thanks for your videos I just discovered! One question : normaly in Ayurveda, don't we massage then clean.rinse up and not reverse? Any reason for making reverse in the ratricharya please?

Namaste dear ~ good question. Oil or thailam has a heavy, calming quality. At night, leaving the oil on will help support sound sleep. Here I'm referring to oiling just the feet, lower legs and head, not the entire body. I don't always enjoy my hair getting oiling, so I'll just apply a few drops on the crown. I hope that helps. Thank you for your kinds words.

Hope you're well Lala. Is eating at sunset better than eating when its been dark for a bit? Is there a sharp change in digestive speed when sun goes down or gradual?
@LalaNaidu3 жыл бұрын
Namaste ~ we are a microcosm of the macrocosm - our digestive fire/agni is most activated when the sun is highest in the sky between 10-2 PM (pitta time of day); as the sun wanes our digestive capacity is lowered too. Therefore, in Ayurveda, it is recommended to consume the largest meal at lunch, not dinner. After 6 PM is kapha time and relates more to resting, building, and not metabolizing. Just as the sun doesn't pop up into the sky, I imagine the lowering of agni is gradual : )

Sleep at 10pm.n wake up at what time? Tq
@LalaNaidu Жыл бұрын
Namaste dear, the ideal time to wake up depends on your constitution - vata types should get up at 6 AM, pitta by 5:30 AM, and kapha by 4:30 AM. Do the best you can. Watch Ayurveda's morning routine for more details > kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXzcp2uFjLZ0f6s
