Ratt was an American glam metal band that had significant commercial success in the 1980s, with their albums having been certified as gold, platinum and multi-platinum by the RIAA. The group is perhaps best known for hit singles such as "Round and Round" and "Lay It Down", tracks that ranked on Billboard's top 40 at No. 12 and No. 40, respectively, as well as other songs such as "Wanted Man", "You're in Love" and "Dance". Along with bands such as friendly rivals Mötley Crüe, Ratt has been recognized as instrumental in the formation of the early 1980s Los Angeles glam metal scene, also known as "hair metal" or "pop metal"

I was 13 when Out of the Cellar came out. I played the hell out of it. Looking at the production side of it. They are great. I stayed a fan through the years. Honestly, I enjoy slightly different production values on each album. There's a evolution going on with these bands. Development happening on so many bands during the 80s. I appreciate that in a band catalog. Robbin was my guitar guy. He did a ton of interviews. Robbin is missed. Reading Circus & Hit Parader to get your updates on bands, like Ratt. I miss it.. Infestation is killer and 1999 is decent. I have all the Ratt on vinyl. Cheers 🥃

The first album was ok for me, but never stuck. Invasion blew my socks off. I actually preferred “deep tracks” over the singles/hits. My favourite tracks were “Never Use Love”, “What You Give…..” & “You Should Know By Now”. As an aside, I still have the Vic Vergat Band album featuring Blotzer pre- RATT. Best album cover ever!!!!! 😜🤘

Love the debut but Invasion gets my vote. Less burnout factor on Invasion and the deep cuts are kick ass.

Dude, this is a tough one. Out of the Cellar had the better “hits” but Invasion of your Privacy had the better “filler” tracks. I think if you’re going to pick one as the better overall album… you gotta pick Invasion.

Invasion for me. I really like Dance as well. Dance grew on me. Out of the Cellar broke the band as we all know. Round and Round on MTV 6-8x per day.
