Stephen was right when he said he wanted to write at home and just come in to do vocals. I've spent countless hours in recording studios and for the most part, it's not like what you see in movies. It's a whole lot of sitting on crappy couches for hours as the engineer dials in sounds or somebody else is doing their takes as you eat too much pizza or chips and try not to nod off . By the time they get to your vocals you've lost all your focus . It's a different scene if your doing a writing or arranging session but if all that's done and you got your melodies worked out , you're better off somewhere else prepping so you can walk in and get straight to work while your energy is up.

Round and Round has the best riff phrasing of all time. It is absolutely insane. Warren DiMartini doesn't get enough praise from casual rock fans.
@robertpoindexter861611 ай бұрын
It’s literally a simple chord progression. I don’t think you’ve listened to much music if you think that song has the best phrasing ever. Lay It Down though.

no the first band in that genre was Quiet Riot then motley crue and a few others. Then they got signed. when gnr got signed there were alot of people from all the big labels and some small ones that dropped the ball and thought the bands sound was no good so they passed. Geffen records signed them and all those other labelss went into panic mode. And it is well known blotz and stepen did not get along at all. i am surprised the band lasted that long cause of all the infighting. Awsome video dude i am still waiting onm that station ID for my internet radio station.

So people say grunge took over rock in the 90's. Truth is where are all the grunge bands now? They are all dead. Some 80's rock bands and 90's rock bands are still out there today. But grunge has rotted away just like it shud.

As a young teenager, I first heard of Ratt through Beavis and Butthead with their "critiques" of the videos for "I Want A Woman" and "Way Cool Jr." They were kind of my gateway into glam metal since then. All their albums have something good about them and Stephen Pearcy has such a unique voice. I also loved when the band came back with Infestation. In 2016, I was lucky enough to interview Stephen for his solo album Smash. Even with the contentious politics around a Ratt reunion, he seemed to be in good spirits. I doubt the discourse will ever fully settle, but they're a great band overall.

Warren Dmartini was a Riff Master. Some of those Riffs hit as hard as many of guitarist that get all the praise. Robin gave a few as well from the 1st album but I can see where he felt overshadowed.

I really enjoyed this video and I can only hope it gets a little better in the future but I don't have any kind of idea what could come of it. I wish I had an answer but I don't, so I guess we will just be happy with what we have... ❣️😊
