That body was carried over in 65 to the Belvedere line with the Satellite being the top dog. My dad bought a brand new 65 Satellite in 65. That car had a 318, AT, PS, and a radio. Gold with black interior. That car always ran well. Not having a garage, the car rusted badly and he bought a new 73 Satellite 4 door, again the 318, AT, PS, PB, and finally AC. Again, a fine car.

Excellent Video. I have a 64 Polara that I have been collecting parts and plan to start the restoration this spring. May I ask some questions. 1-the rear end has the nut style on the drums. What rear end do you recommend? I plan to use the K-ember from Satellite with disc brakes. I will be following this build Thank-you
@DeadDodgeGarage10 ай бұрын
A later B body rear end is a perfect fit - at least 65-67. I think the width changed for ‘68-70 B body - and it absolutely changed for ‘71+. So I’d look for that first option. What year K member? The engine positioning is slightly different on later cars, and that could get interesting.
@deaddodgebrother10 ай бұрын
I actually had a scene talking about the rear end in this car that I ended up cutting. I measured the housing and the axle shafts and the rear in this car does appear to be the 65-7 b body width, which bolts right in.
