That Fury is way better than my 67 I owned as my 2nd car back in the late eighties. What an absolute land yacht. 318 actually moved it pretty decent. You could fit 4 people in the trunk and 4-5 people could lay out on the hood.

Your videos are so informative. Let's us all know how much we can get away with and still have a car that works! (more or less) 😆 Love the old Mopars - first car was a '69 Coronet - made most of my mistakes on that one! Also nice to see you HotDog involved. -- great memories with Dad. Also, : "You want to go for a ride in the Fury?" "Sure!". Proof you married the right gal!

That body was carried over in 65 to the Belvedere line with the Satellite being the top dog. My dad bought a brand new 65 Satellite in 65. That car had a 318, AT, PS, and a radio. Gold with black interior. That car always ran well. Not having a garage, the car rusted badly and he bought a new 73 Satellite 4 door, again the 318, AT, PS, PB, and finally AC. Again, a fine car.

My father’s 64 New Yorker use to eat starters for lunch. They always seem to crap the bed during a New England snow storm. I have warm feelings of learning new profanities as dad’s wrench would slip and he’d bust his knuckles. He reminded that Santa does not show up at kids houses that rat daddy’s out to mommy’s!

Excellent Video. I have a 64 Polara that I have been collecting parts and plan to start the restoration this spring. May I ask some questions. 1-the rear end has the nut style on the drums. What rear end do you recommend? I plan to use the K-ember from Satellite with disc brakes. I will be following this build Thank-you
@DeadDodgeGarage
@DeadDodgeGarage 10 ай бұрын
A later B body rear end is a perfect fit - at least 65-67. I think the width changed for ‘68-70 B body - and it absolutely changed for ‘71+. So I’d look for that first option. What year K member? The engine positioning is slightly different on later cars, and that could get interesting.
@deaddodgebrother
@deaddodgebrother 10 ай бұрын
I actually had a scene talking about the rear end in this car that I ended up cutting. I measured the housing and the axle shafts and the rear in this car does appear to be the 65-7 b body width, which bolts right in.

The Fury is very cool for many reasons. One being that it is not green! I'm sure that you guys know by now that I compose all of my comments with "LOVE". I love you guys! So here I go! I learned an awful lot from this "How not to video". I flinched and winced so many times that my face is sore now. I laughed a lot, but not at you... well. I have complete faith that you will make it to Plymouth in the Plymouth. I think it is downhill most of the way. However, I have my doubts about you making it back home. Did I mention that I love you guys???
