I disagree doomfist’s passive is every ability he lands gives him more health which means the block legit goes against his characters design. Doomfist would be a better tank if the block was replaced with the old uppercut that is the funniest part about doomfist. Doomfist was also meant to be a character that flanks the healers and small health pool damages even as a tank which means he is not fit to be a tank since you arn’t supporting your team in that moment. If you want to say “your supporting your team by killing the healers” then why isnt genji, reaper, and sombra a tank they legit do the same thing as doomfist.

Either you use it and everyone stops shooting you so you cant get an empowered or you get shredded through and if you try to leave or use that punch to build some oover health you just die. Atleast with uppercut you could stay mobile and actually build more hp. Not to mention a fully charged punch into a wall combined with a slam doesnt even do 150 dmg. If your empowered you can but ive found that you rarely get that empowered punch unless your ulting to get it or the enemy just doesnt care

I'm a 500 hour df player. This video was very entertaining to watch. A tip i would give is to remember things that guarantee you an empowered punch. Important ones are : sojourn E, torb turret, hanzo full charge arrow, hanzo dragonstrike, atleast 2 sym turrets, junkrat total mayhem (after recent buffs, echo sticky and tracer pulse bomb will most of the time give you empowered punch). Nice to see another doomfist player being born

JunkerQueen is a threat tank. Meaning your presence is scary enough to keep people from wanting to enter your space. So go cover to cover, take up high ground from any widows or soldiers, practice the knife (because yoinking them off high ground into a bad position is low risk, high reward thing about her kit) and more importantly, ignore the tank. Even if they’re looking at you, that’s bonus points. They’re hitting you means they aren’t hitting your team.

i hit top 500 doom only last season and i found that the best way to get value is to mainly 1) disrupt the enemy team (punch ppl off high ground, make them look at you, play aggressively on out of position targets, etc) 2) never engage with 2-3 CDs at once unless you have doom ult 3) do not use doom ult to get kills, unless theyre 1 hp but instead use it to land on health packs nearby and come back with empowered punch 4) never tunnel the enemy tank until 1 or both supports are dead first and like you mentioned, 5) ult track and cancel ults. and to truly have the most fun with him, you have to learn techs like diags, stall spots, etc but that playstyle also leads to turbo feeding lol other players perceptions of doom being weak is also because he lacks utility for other teammates and people are still used to sitting behind double shield with a brig/bap infinite healing/immortality from ow1. my easiest doom games are when i have like a genji/tracer/soj/sombra/kiri/lucio (hyper mobile comps) because we just run the lobby.

He's the first pure dive tank, and needs to be played in a dive comp to see a whole team success. His commitment to value makes him hard to use because it's either all in or out. A few buffs are still needed but I believe he's fun and rewarding

Since putting in similar hours on the first and deciding he's my new main, I've found myself saying things like, "You know you're doing something right when the whole enemy team counter picks you... AND STILL LOSES" No matter how oppressive and hard the counter, we will simply be better, play perfect, hit every cd, every left click, maximize the value that can be made. Each time we die, we come back stronger. I take that level confidence with me in every fight and a lot of the time, the team can either follow through or witness a massacre.

To my experience, doomfist is more of a flank/disruptor. He has the mobillity to stay in enemy backline on some maps, and he also has the capabillites for hit and run. You shouldnt really be focusing enemy tanks, but backline support. A charged fist usually also gives a opportunity to snipe supports and snipers. I usually jump for snipers first or healers if i can. And the handcannon is more important than one would think. Team composition and play also matters big time. If he needs to protect his team in situations head on, healing goes a long way.

Weird, because I lost 15 Games and Won 2. Placed Dia 2 :// My team absolutely does nothing when I engage or punch people into a wall. No clean-ups, nothing. I had to deactivate the chat lmao. Also the amount of counters is sickening. Honestly, you’re still a novice doom after the 20 hours. The amount of kills and plays you could’ve had are immeasurable given you know his techs. For example, several times you have an easy finish with slam but you over shot it instead of using a crouch slam, stair slam, or ceiling slam. You also didn’t use any super punched offensively or super slams to gain range on enemies, which in both cases are arguably dooms strongest abilities. You learned how to take space via cancelling legit everything humanly possible and even just area denial via punch, which is super good. You didn’t even step remotely close to diags or stall spots, which in masters / gm are seriously useful and sometimes needed if you’re going to win or carry on doomfist. Overall pretty good video and you made hella progress. Still the tip of the Iceburg for doom, and in higher ranks you don’t deal with just an orisa… It’s orisa ana brig cass Sombra every single game. MAYBE you’ll get a hog instead of orisa or a kiri instead of brig…but it’s brutal bro. Great video

Your best value is staying alive. As a current tank t500 dps feeding and being out of fight is worse thing you can do. Off angle and pressure w/ the space your tank gives you and only go for greedy picks when it makes sense

Soldier is a great hero to start with and get the hang of then just test heroes that sound interesting!

My favourite golden gun Combo is Brig Sol skin with golden gun. You look so shiny and it makes you feel like you bought a golden SKIN not a golden gun.

The best way I play doom is to play defensive and build your punch. Then use the empowered punch on a squishy then get out of there with seismic slam.

I use to think the same but playing him really changed my mind. I’ll be making a new 3 bad habits vid but soft engaging w/ slam to build shields and ult is just as and sometimes more effective just depends on situation

I’m currently learning Doom & holy hell is it aggravating. I’m only playing him in QP & even then, it’s miserable. You win one team fight and people swap Orisa/Sombra. You have to play perfectly to get any value and even then, you’re hard pressed to actually secure a kill with all the healing/immo in the game. That being said, I feel like he’s helping me get way better fundamentally at the game.

Started and end around plat 3 I think. I deranked HARD when I first started but then gained it all back plus a little. Actually just hit top 500 on tank after 4 weeks! So far done with dva, doom, JQ and just finished Orisa today

I decided to actually try to play some competitive Doom because I do really well with him in quick play and I'm stuck in silver I just can't secure kills and every single game has at least one counter. This character is draining my will to play but I want to be good at him so bad half the time I just switch to sig if the team counters him too much and my performance improves drastically.

Its about learning. Who cares if you do bad as long as you try. If you're getting dominated have 1-2 tanks that you are confident on that you can swap to that can handle dooms counters

@@ThunderOfStrenght not counter. Counter isn't a skill thing its does a heroes abilities directly hinder the enemies abilities. To a point yes punch can cancel a lot of abilities. But most heroes that counter him wont be very effected by stun. The whole 1-trick and counter your counters idea isn't realistic and only works for the top .001% like ZBRA and even he makes games harder on his teammates by not swapping
