This must be the most exquisite and unsurpassed example of melodic reharmonization ever. The suppleness and expressiveness of Raul Midón's voice is a perfect realization of the wonder hidden within Stevie Wonder's composition. No doubt, you, like me, will play this over and over again to be taken to a most special place.

Totally agreed! I’d just add that this is actually the only really rearranged version of Stevie’s any song. Although there are plenty but they’re all very close to genius Wonder’s originals. Here we have a real rearranging and it’s beautiful and timeless.

A fan of Raul ever since the "Still Bill" movie. I saw him in concert about 6 yrs ago and he actually blew me away. An unforgettable performance. I never knew about this album until I began browsing through some of my old you tube saves. This one popped up unsaved. Raul used to be a big fan of Stevies if I can recall so its right that he would have remade this song for the album. I bet that he had to get his approval for the whole revamp with Herbie. Thanks for the post. I must now look for the album.

I am positive! The beginning of spring is yesterday. Cherry blossoms bloom in April. July in summer is warm. In autumn, the breeze blows down and there are leaves. Giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring. In other words I just called to say I love you and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Have a healthy and happy new week for meu amor 🌸🌷🌼💗.....171/365

Loved Raul Midon already, but totally blew off this album, and what a mistake that was! I also love Stevie Wonder's music, though this is truly magical! I'll be replaying this near constantly for a while at least :)

Such a beautiful arrangement and reharmonization. It's a shame Raul doesn't have range. Holy shit. The intonation, and his huge ears.

Who played the harmonica on this song? Or was it really a harmonica?

at least Midon has control over what he's doing. Thank God the album doesn't end on a sour note.
