Seems like the people who don't like the vocals don't really get what they are, the entirety of ghost bath is basically to symbolise grief of someone lost to suicide, basically banshee screams of someone in extreme emotional agony almost like crying and screaming at the same time. Say what you will but until you lose someone to suicide that you love dearly don't say that people don't cry scream like this

See, I get it - especially from experience (nothing will ever be worse than the scream my mom let out when I found my brother). But while that makes a poignant premise for a song or even an album, it doesn't make for a good listen for a band's entire catalogue. Especially when in real life there are stages to grief (ie the 5 stages) where coping and resolution/acceptance follow naturally. That would give the band a formula and more room to grow and experiment. But if you want to wallow, metaphorically speaking, I guess that fits the Depressive aesthetic. Imo, that just makes the vocals literally one-note. And I'm FOR this band's existence.

Cradle of Filth Midian, Bitter Suites to SUCCUBI, Manticore, Lillith Emaculate, DIMMU BORGIR, just about anything from the early 2000-2009 era, Gateways is okay, but they changed a couple of members and lost the formula.
