Stefan Erbe, the organizer and empulsiv host, made the logistical specification to create music experiences in extraordinary places. This was the decisive criterion and Erbe asked all participants to find places and locations where where you would not expect a concert. No matter which place was chosen, everything was allowed and desired, the main thing is to find (s)a special space and time! The festival has not thrown one of its original ideas overboard and presents the artists and their music not in the typical "back-to-back" order, but varies the content of all contributions in three concert blocks. The resulting points of contrast are one of the essential criteria of the event and create individual arcs of tension, beyond the usual concert structures. Each concert act offers a total of music between 30 and 45 minutes, of which always about one third per part. The music of Raumzeit is electronic music. It is experimental or straightforward, sometimes ambient, technoid or quite traditional, it can be improvised or not. There are no spatial boundaries and everything that is synthetically generated is allowed. Raumzeit is an open, non-commercial project and offers all musicians a free presentation platform. Tut mir leid, dass jetzt schon sagen zu müssen, aber ich genieße Konzerte von einem Act lieber in einem Zug, anstatt gestückelt und verteilt auf mehrere Tage. Das ist für mich kein Konzept.

Hallo Klaus, das Konzept die Konzerte in den Kontrast der anderen Beiträge zu stellen, hat sich in den Live-Veranstaltungen der Raumzeit-Festivals durchaus etabliert und soll nun als digitale Version auch einen Versuch bekommen. Es ist schade, dass Du Dir schon vorab eine Meinung gebildet hast, ohne es Dir anzuschauen bzw. der Veranstaltung eine Chance zu geben. Das Festival findet NUR an einem Abend statt und nicht über mehrere Tage. Wir haben das Event in drei Teile aufgeteilt, damit die Zuschauer auch zwei Pausenoptionen bekommen. Zwischen Teil 1 und 2 sowie 2 und 3 sind ca. 10 Minuten Zeit um diese zu nutzen.

Vielleicht auch von der Art der Musik und Acts abhängig. Die "Stückelung" dürfte es abwechslungsreicher machen. Das Konzept ist nun mal anders; ich laß mich überraschen.

Ich denke, die Künstler wussten vorher Bescheid werden die Sets in einer dafür passenden Form eingereicht haben. Da wird nichts nachträglich zerstückelt worden sein. Von früheren Raumzeit-Festivals kenne ich eine Set-Länge so im Bereich 20 Minuten, das reicht auch für einen langen Sequencer-Track. Bin jedenfalls drauf gespannt, die einzelnen Künstler stehen ja für ganz verschiedene Stile. Wem der Mix nicht gefällt, der kann ja im Nachhinein sich die Sets selber passend zusammen sortieren ;-)

Well Klaus I watched the three videos live and I really liked the concept of mixing up the performances. And I don`t understand your statement of multiple days. The three videos went on premiere right after each other with just enough time for a comfort break and getting a beer between the videos..
