This fix worked for me, after some tips from others. Thanks all for your help. 1. Remove any USB / AUX cords from the head unit 2. Turn the ignition to "on". Which is two turns of the key, the stage BEFORE you start the engine. I believe in a push button start, this is two clicks. 3. As the reboot screen is loading, remove the SD card by first pressing it in and then pulling it out. (Will be located on the head unit, behind a flap) 4. The screen should load properly 5. If the screen doesn't load, try putting the SD card back in 6. If the above doesn't work. Disconnect the negative battery terminal (black terminal). Re-connect, then try the above again.

There are two ways to reset your 2014 Toyota RAV4 stereo system: 1. Hard reset: This will erase all of your saved settings, including your radio presets and clock. To do a hard reset, follow these steps: 1. Turn on the ignition, but don't start the car. 2. Press and hold the APPS button on the radio. 3. Cycle the headlights three times (turn them on and off three times quickly). 4. Release the APPS button. 5. Press and hold the INIT button on the display until a dialog box appears asking if you want to reset the system. 6. Select "Yes" to reset the system. 2. Soft reset: This will not erase any of your saved settings. To do a soft reset, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the ignition. 2. Disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds. 3. Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition. This is from BARD
