But, certain movies in the recent past have tried to portray Him as a villain with a negative character and Ravana as a hero, but a victim of prejudice.

I think each one of us has Rama and Ravana at various instances of life . The whole idea is to try to let Rama personality dominate and simply resist (like Rama) when Ravana in all of us tries to even come up in decision making ; testing our Tapasya and so far journey as listeners to all these path lighting and powerful discourses on Dharma .

Ram Gunas are satvic and Ravan gunas are Tamsic or rajsic. Ramayan was planned to demonstrate how satvic Guna win over tamsic or rajsic Guna. The more we glorify ram , the more we talk about him , the more we are going to inhibit his qualities. It is so brave of you Prabhu ji that you talked for so long about Ravan’s tamsic and rajsic gunas just to lead all of us to right path 💎. We all have these tamsic , rajsic and satvic gunas , may be Ravan too had that satvic Guna guiding him towards lord when he used to pray lord shiva . Idea is to kill Ravana Guna in us and increase Ram Guna in even your subconscious . On similar lines , I believe burning Ravana idol is an unnecessary pain to environment , people should attend such discourses in evening when Ravana was killed instead of eating and enjoying and just returning to home with same tamsic and rajsic gunas . Anyone with me ?
