My favorite manga of all time. With the wild success of Fairy Tail and Edens Zero being a thing I just hope and pray everyday that The Groove Adventure Rave gets the "Full metal alchemist brotherhood" treatment and returns. It's so freaking good and deserves it. I have yet to read another manga that makes me feel this way.

Great video man! I am a huge fan of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail and Edens Zero, but I never got the chance to read or watch Rave Master because I was too young when it first came out. I really wish they would reprint the physical copies of the manga, so it would be easier to collect them.

I don’t know if I’m correct, but Hiro Mashima is working on something called “Hero’s” which involve all of his main characters of his works including Rave. 100 years quest is getting an anime and Edens Zero might continue. So, if things keep going the way that they are right now. A Rave Master remake is probable.

If any anime show deserves a reboot, it’s Rave Master. Because Haru, Elie, Musica and all of the characters are likeable. They were wrong to have canceled the anime into its completion. But however in the manga the story continues on. I’m both anime watcher and manga reader. So I’ve pretty much kept up with the manga. But yeah Rave Master definitely deserves a reboot more than anything and I’m glad to have educated myself into watching this underrated show

Anyone who knows Fairy Tail and Eden's Zero, but not Rave Master really needs to check it out. It's basically both Fairy Tail and Edens Zero art style but originally from Rave Master/Groove Adventure Rave created by Hiro Mashima before he made the rest. This Anime and Manga is from my childhood. And it's sad newer and older Anime fans don't know Rave. People need to check that show out. It's really good. It's what got me into Fairy Tail and Edens Zero to begin with. A must watch for newer and older Anime fans alike. It can really use a reboot/remake. And a continuation.

The reason why I watch fairy tail was because of rave master. The plot is on one direction, searching for rave stones, which also needs memories then defeat the enemy of time. The fan service is minimal and it doesn't disrupt the stories. There is power of friendship but not so outrageous like ft who always yells nakama. Good relationship of mc and heroine. From friend to special someone to wife. MC thinks before he moves. Smart and doesn't like fighting but doesn't have a choice because of saving the world. The reason why I didn't watch eden zero was because of fairy tail. Sometimes you don't know what is the plot. Mc used the heroine as bait in their adventure. 40% fan service that almost looks like a filler because it changes the flow of story. Characters love brawling just to show the people their strength without having reason to fight, and become useless when magic was sealed. Ft failed to give the same feeling when you read rm.

I’m not going to say Rave Master is a perfect series. The art in the early chapters of the manga isn’t great and the way it sets up and pays off mysteries is pretty obvious and not particularly well planned out. Recommending this series to someone who’s already read a lot of fantasy, probably won’t impress them too much as the story doesn’t do many new or ground breaking things. Having said all of that, Rave Master is my favourite manga of all time. For the rest of my life if you ask me what my favourite is, I won’t even need a second to think about it. It will always be Rave Master. This is the series that influenced me the most as a kid. It came to me at the perfect time to shape who I would become. My interests, my drawing style, even my values. It taught me to deeply value kindness towards others and using my strengths to try and make the world better any way I’m able to. I owe so much of who I am today because of this manga. I’ve read it a dozen times, I’ve seen episodes of the anime hundreds of times. It’s so special to me.

I think what makes Rave Master so good is that rather than trying to subvert being a shounen somehow, like some recent manga do to be sErIoUs, it embraces the overall lighthearted nature of its cast. In a way, Fairy Tail replicates this--at least at first--but then it tries to make the reader take the "power of friendship" more seriously than RM ever did. I haven't read Eden's Zero, so I can't say if it's better or worse than FT in that regard.

I agree! Rave Master was a mix of comedy and action which made it way more fun as a reader / watcher than some of the other grittier anime of the times. Fairy tail was cool but didn't drag me in the same way as this. Eden zero is good too but definitely not my fav of the 3

Ah back when Mashima could actually kill off characters we cared about, have a planned out story from beginning to end, and a main character that felt relatable and human. I give Fairy Tail credit for its charm, and Eden’s Zero credit for its world building, but both pale in comparison to Rave. Easily Mashima’s best.
