I'm glad I found this, my car group has been recommending the Ravelco to stop thefts. I was watching a KZbin video on cool car gadgets and found this device. I didn't like losing my remote start but had decided it was better than losing the car. Now when I get a new car I will be installing this. Their claim to fame was with 16 pins a thief would never figure it out. You have shown when there is a will there is a way. Thanks for the video.

I understand you have the right to challenge Raveco products or any product that claims to be a 100% theft deterrent. However, you can still make a video without every detail for car thieves. Car thieves browse KZbin daily for videos like yours to stay ahead of people's hard-earned money that goes into these devices.
@garyoilfield37453 ай бұрын
How would the world know just how easy it was if not for this video? An 'Intro to Electronics 101' student could bypass this device it's that rudimentary. A thief could just as easily rip that kick panel out and follow the wires to the disabling relay & jumper it. Probably less time than what's described in the video.

Not every detail is even present. The reality is I can do it even faster. And with less trial and error than what is shown. 😊

Security through obscurity is not security. This should have never been released being this easy, if this is correct. While everyone is pissed at this guy and even if he has a conflict of interest, for the sake of the argument, the truth is the truth and announcing this is actually beneficial to the community. Ideally the manufacturer would have been contacted first to give them a chance to comment or fix.

What I find most interesting about this video AND THE COMMENTS is how there are STILL no confirmed cases of a stolen vehicle by defeating the Ravelco System. Ravelco as is IGLA are not 100%, no system is all these systems are designed to have the thief say "fuck this I'll go to a softer target". If your truck or car is towed away ANY SYSTEM can be defeated by the average thief within a matter of hours. This video is staged, and a very good job he did doing it but it's fake, so I'll stick with my Ravelco until ONE confirmed case arises. This guy is a fake and a salesman for IGLA, another system that with time is also defeatable. Great salesman, a little shady, but a great salesman.
@JonathanRodriguez-kz6syАй бұрын
But there is many reported cases. Actually use your brain and research instead of pushing this false narrative. The funny part is you can find dozens of posts that say stolen vehicle with ravelco. But every single one thinks it was a tow. Yet no one confirms and or follows up. I assure you most are not via a tow truck and the unit is bypassed. Either at the plug like I showed. Or reversing the install. Which can also be done in a few minutes. You fan boys keep forgetting revelco has a road map. Wires to follow. What these legit videos show is I don’t even need to do any of that. Yes some people will say “fuck this” But when a vehicle is on their list as they do have lists. There won’t be a fuck this. I maybe someone selling Igla which is a superior product. But that’s not what it’s even about. This video was imitated because ravelco decided to compare their product to others. Just so happens I install Igla as well. The bullshit comments of its stages are just that bullshit. I will bet any single person to challenge it. But no one will. Because if I prove it to them their world will collapse. So you fan boys stating it’s staged put your money where your mouth is. I will do everything I did in either of these videos. In less than a minute as mentioned in the video. No prep.
@retiredandrollin29 күн бұрын
You’re full of sit, and the only one here with any NARRATIVE at all is you; of course, so you can sell your “superior” product. I get it. I did use my brain and I did do my research, I have access to certain research regarding these issues that are far beyond post or chats, and zero confirm the theft by dismantling the Ravelco “on scene”. None! But my narrative is false because I say if there are thefts they must be by tow and you say not all thefts are by tow. Of course your narrative is true yet you have zero confirmation other than “oh look what I can do in a staged video”. There are confirmed thefts of vehicles with the IGLA system, of course those MUST be by tow? Of course!!! Dude, sell your IGLA for twice as much as the other products, that’s cool it’s your business I get it. But if the IGLA is so superior, why do you need to bash other products specifically RAVELCO? There are a million security systems out there, you need to state videos and bash the best because you want to be the best. IGLA is good, but too expensive, Ravelco is a much better buy for the money. To be the best you gotta beat the best, in all aspects of the game including $$$! Fan Boy? Hilarious, ok IGLA boot licker
