Thanks for the review! Do you think this one will fit with Bryton's computer and mount?
@TheSweetCyclists11 ай бұрын
No, this only has a Garmin or optional Wahoo puck. If you choose the Bryton S800 you can swap the Bryton base for a Garmin which is a nice feature.

🤔 a great simple idea .. alas that’s where it ends really 5hrs on day light flash mode is weak .. need to be @ least 250 lumens & last 10hrs …. My Bontrager Ion Pro RT on day light flash mode is 300 Lumens for 22hrs .. and also is an excellent light to see with @ 1300 lumens..

I love the design of the light, it can be mounted like a computer. I don’t need computer on my gravel trip so I would want a light on garmin mount, but is there other choice with similar design but higher lumens? I want this design for dark night😢

Be careful with garmin mounts on high vibration/bumps. Many break at the garmin attchment point as its usually made of a thin plastic insert with thin fins holding the device in. I recommen dthe outbound light over this gimmicky light.

So is it a daylight only?

This is a "be seen" style light - it won't light up the road at night. It can be used during the day (flashing mode for better daytime visibility) or night (in a constant mode) to ensure you're visible on the road. You definitely need a brighter focused headlight though for nighttime riding.

StVO?

No, I don't believe this is StVZO certified so it might not be available in countries that require it.

You have to test the device in the dark, as it is a flashlight, it makes no sense to test it during the day. Here in Brazil we usually use these devices at night

that s what i said.

Great idea but 160 lumen is just useless for both day and night
@TheSweetCyclists11 ай бұрын
This is a "be seen" style light - the COB LEDs just have a uniform glow and do not illuminate the road. For night time riding you would need a larger dedicated light. This is more of a convenient daytime light or supplementary light you can just leave under your GPS without taking up any more space.

I get that, but when handlebar space is a premium, I feel it’s a lost opportunity. Not really bright enough to be seen well on a sunny day, not bright enough to light up the area in front of you at night.
