In season 1 Raven was shot by Murphy (he was kind of a jerk at the time) and it caused an internal bleeding near her spine and because of that she couldn't walk. She had a surgery on the ground (performed by clarke's mom who is a doctor) but there was no anesthesia so she felt literally everything (my poor baby). After that only one leg was cured and she couldn't feel the other one. That's why she wears that thing, it helps her walk and live her life normally. Great reaction! We all love her

Fun fact: Raven was supposed to die in season one. However fans loved her character so much she's stayed and has become one of the main characters. Obviously a fandom favorite!

Raven is definitely one of the best, and she happens to be one of the two people included in my favorite romantic ship, the other being Jasper. Raven has a leg brace because she was shot by Murphy. She's in pain every day. Like when they showed her climbing that tower, that was a big deal because it was really difficult for her, but she always moves through the pain. She chose to have an operation on her leg to try to save it, but it didn't work. There was no anesthesia so she felt everything. She will never be able to walk without the brace. Also, not sure if you knew this, but Raven dated that guy named Finn who died which is that scene where she cries NO. He was the only family she had.
