I had seen people make like a whole sandwich and use the small little cutouts that you use for the fruits and veggies to have little bite sized sandwhiches so cute! You guys did good tho it all looked so yummy.

For the sandwhich cutter you want the roll the bread flat first then make the sandwhich press then cut! And the rice ball I’ve only used with regular rice and use less rice so it can shake side to side and form the ball ! Such a cute video!

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but Raven! Try using sushi rice for the molds! Much stickier and meant to ‘hold’ together for sushi rolls and such. It might work better! I would try all different kinds of rice but start with sushi rice and see how that does. Would love an update video once you get the hang of them! (: Love the Omie box as well, running to Amazon now to save it to my list lol

You could put the seaweed down, put a bed of rice on it and put seaweed face thingys on it. Also I think you should fill both sides of the rice ball maker. But the sticky rice would work better.

You probably already did this off camera - but if not - it would be a good idea to take a big bowl w/hot soapy water & just dump all of those plastic & metal pieces in to let soak & then give it all a good rinse. And use hot soapy water to give the lunch box a good wipe down as well!! Just for any debris or off gassing from the plastic. The whole thing is adorable! And I agree Raven, I want that Hello Kitty utensil set too!! lol!

Definitely use regular nori instead of seaweed snacks. Additionally the best rice for rice balls is short or medium grain rice. Microwave western style rice doesn’t work very well because the lack of starch.

My son is 3 and used to eat anything I packed now it’s getting to the point where he’s starting to be picky so I’m switching it up often. I think microwave rice generally has very separate grains anyway so it doesn’t hold together as well as fresh cooked rice or sushi rice
