Why the lambo brake?

They didn't have enough petrol in the tank to drive another lap. So they tried to be exactly slow enough to cross the finish line with time running out. The plan didn't quite work out and they were overtaken shortly before the finish.

Because the Lamborghini didn’t have enough fuel to do another lap so they slowed down to make sure they didn’t have to but badly miscalculated how much they had to slow down and the Porsche overtook them on the line

die Zeit war gerade so abgelaufen. Hätte er durchgezogen, wäre er noch vor Ablauf der Zeit über die Ziellinie gefahren und hätte noch eine ganze Runde fahren müssen. Dafür war aber nicht mehr genug Sprit im Tank. Zumindest habe ich das gehört und das macht Sinn

Is there a reason the Lambo was so slow? Looked like he was braking too, as if they wanted the Porsche to win. Not as amazing an end to what some of these comments lead me to believe. Of course it was an amazing lap but pretty easy at the end of you ask me.

The Lambo slowed down to not drive another Lap. They didn´t have enough fuel left for one more round so the slowed down to try and hit the exact time to go over the line to win. So he braked cause of that. And the end is still amazing, cause Laurens did one hell of a lap to be even close enough to push him over the line and overtake him. If Laurens wouldn´t have pushed that much the last few laps and especially the last one he wouldn´t even be in the position to overtake him. Than the Lambo could have easily cruised to victory and slow down as much as he wanted.
