Say what you wanna say, but this franchise is known for one thing. DEFENSE. Defense is where it's at. I love to see some hard-nosed, physical, fast, relentless, tough, mean, and nasty Ravens defense. McDonald is really doing this thing this year. Man this Defense is great!! The season is still going, but I have high expectations for them!

Absolutely! They have always had great coaches to develop their draft picks into studs. Very few that have left with big contracts had the same production. Z'darius and Judon being the exceptions.

I just hope they have 1 or 2 assistants studying every aspect of Mike McDonald's defense and playcalling, and can hopefully step into the DC role in the next few years because I honestly don't see the Ravens being able to keep him past next year without winning consecutive SB's. He's young, innovative, handsome (pause), and white (let's be honest, it helps). Sounds like the next Mike McDaniel/ Sean McVay to me. And there's gonna be at least 5-6 teams willing to offer him the world to be their HC (Dallas instantly comes to mind). I think the only thing that keeps him here semi-long term is the chance to build a dynasty, knowing that at that point a HC job is pretty much guaranteed almost wherever he wants whenever he decides to put himself on the market.

@@tics1279 Agree 100% on his smashing good looks, but I think that Mike Mac will stick around waiting for Harbaugh's job the same way EDC waited for Ozzy's. He grew up in the ravens organization through multiple D coordinators and could very well be the next Ravens Head Coach in 3-4 years if he wants it.

@@user-f5xt2op9t I thought about that as an option - the loyalty take, and I honestly hope that is the case but idk. The coaching market is way different than the GM market. His name is hot right now because this defense is good, but what if they fall off next year or the year after? Is his name still as hot as it was? If, let's say, the Chargers offer him the HC position next year, I think it's really hard to turn down the chance to coach a team with a solid offense with one of the up an coming QB's in the league with a defense that has most, if not all, of the pieces but are in need of a system... your system. A chance to build your own legacy, all while living in sunny LA. Idk if he (or many other people) could turn that down.

As an Eagles fan, I believe the Ravens are the best team in the league by far. Regardless, I hope you Ravens fans at least beat the Quiefs in the AFC championship

Our defense was missing that pass rush baby! We had a great secondary but clearly the decision makers knew last year we needed Roquan and more pass rush weapons and they were right. Now we have elite pass rush, Roquan is the top LB in the league and has helped Queen develop into a top linebacker. And our secondary is honestly not even as good as in years past on paper, but when your front 7 is strong those boys in the back will eat regardless. Defense and your front 7 really wins championships. As well as that O line

Give props to Brandon Stephens as well he's like a timex watch he takes a licking but keeps on ticking people forget this is only his 3rd year at corner yes he'll get beat sometimes but he won't drop his head and stay engaged like Geno all they need is a chance and coaches believe in them 52 times being targeted
