A list of things I would like to see in DayZ: - vending machines powered by generators,, for sodas. - picking up bricks from the ground, near construction sites. - desrtracting zeds by throwing bricks (similar to TLOU) - harvesting fallen trees for firewood. - bipods for weapons and/or being able to mount/lean rifles on a window or low wall, etc... (similar to Arma) - locked car trunks with keys being in the possession of one of the zeds who roam nearby. - locked basements, too. With juicy loot inside. - herbs in forests, with different properties - acting like lower tier medicines. - tea and coffee - the latter providing stamina boost for a short period of time. - bigger variety of backpacks and their slot configuration. Different attachables. - tarp backpack - if I can craft a backpack from a burlap sack, why not from tarp as well? - tin mugs, attachable to hunting backpack (for boiling tea and coffee) - wrist watch and animation for looking at the time (showing server time) - rats, snakes, crows... - being able to hand items to another player instead of dropping them on the ground. - Molotov - noise trap - tripwire with empty cans attached to it - squirt guns - because why not?

They used to be a thing y’all obviously haven’t played that long😅. Back in the day zombies used to roam in big groups and running into one could very well be the last thing you ever do and shooting them just attracts the rest of the horde lmao, unless you have the lil mk 2 .22 pistol lol

@@foenix6666 both. Generally back then there was more infected around the map so I guess they weren’t necessarily in hordes but in abundance lol and any sort of noise would attract em all lmao basically making it into a horde as they used to just all stay in the same area after if you got away

Sleeping bags should be added to vanilla, but NOT for respawning as that breaks the core of what DayZ is. Instead they should help keep you warm so long as you're not soaking wet, increase your recovery speed from the cold/flu, and increase your health regeneration by a small percentage so long as you're not bleeding/freezing to death and don't have a wound infection. The "cost" of using the sleeping bag should be something akin to your character being in a sleeping animation that you'd have to stand up to get out of (could use some of the already existing animations), your character has their eyes closed while sleeping (screen slowly goes black like when being knocked unconscious ), and your character snores (which could be heard by other nearby players and infected). There's already some great hardcore servers that have sleep mechanics that do similar things to this, personally I would love a sleep mechanic in vanilla, but I know too many would hate it and that's fine, but I've always thought they should add the ability to sleep simply for small buffs even if it's not a "need" like food and water.

This is my favorite idea for the sleeping bag. I think sleep shouldn't be a required need or stat, as it forces you away from the main gameplay loop. But providing optional buffs and benefits to doing so is definitely welcome! Maybe also have a few variants or tiers of sleeping bags. There'd be a normal sleeping bag that functions like how you described. But also a crafted bedroll using tarps or blankets with really bad resistance to the elements. Then a more rare military/survival bag that has high rain/weather resistance. The civilian survival bag could be a bright color or reflective like a survival blanket, while the even more rare military version is camo. Also add an attachment slot to some backpacks (ie some military backpacks, hiking/mountain packs, and maybe hunter's pack) for sleeping bags, tarps, and possibly even medium tents. It'd be really aesthetic and could be a soft buff for some smaller backpacks that get outclassed by higher tier packs (looking at you assault backpack!! :\ ).

I think for sleeping bags it would be cool if you could have the option to crawl into them and have buffs like increased restoration of your blood or a heat buff that is less then being by a camp fire something of that sort but I don’t think they should be a spawn point as people would just start being very brazen when it comes to base raids as they can just come right back and gear up agian

Sleeping bags: as much as I’d love them, i feel like it would ruin the feeling of risk, adrenaline, and strategic thinking, the thought of being able to spawn near by ruins the idea of risking it all and it could ruin it for military base looting, they could easily place a bag near by so if they die they’ll just spawn in again to regear and get back into a massive gunfight, it’ll just turn in to call of duty just more complicated

1) Barricading stuff I mean barricading with planks or metal sheets on example windows by placing planks on the walls in similar fashion we place crates and barrels on the floor. This way we save on material costs to block off windows in the base. 2) Scavenging cars Instead of searching entire areas of the map for car parts we could see car scavenging. you could look under the hood and see if there's any part to be taken out. Only for car batteries and radiators, as spark plugs being kinda "car keys" have to be rare. If something is found, then that thing needs to be unscrewed using a screwdriver or a knife (however with increased damage to the knife and maybe the salvaged part). 3) Generators and battery chargers They can be used as a permament asset with potentially power tools being added and as a temporary asset in achieving certain goals: like charging car batteries. With most batteries being drained (mostly the ones salvaged from cars, check point 2.) they'd need to be recharged with the generator. 4) Loot reorganisation Eastern weapons (including SVD) spawn more often in static military areas (like Veresnik or Tri Kresta) whereas Western weapons (besides UMP, FNX and non-military ones) only in dynamic events (helis, convoys, trains). UMP and FNX don't spawn anymore in military location, instead they're now a police loot (both) and civilian (only FNX)

I think if I could add thing's Small collapsible military shovels, Bicycles, air drops and or signal flare drops, throwing spears?, ability to use animal guts to camo yourself from the DEAD? Maybe tree-houses or Tree bases? The sleeping bag would be awesome..

Console: more building options like a wall and fence at half length. Broom :that can declutter a room so you can build Shovel/pickaxe: to level a plot of terrain.

There are lots of features I’d love. Bots would be one. Just basic survivor bots, that loot, hunt, etc. Pretty much do what players do. The bots just take the empty slot of real players. Make empty servers less lifeless. I would like different poses for different deaths. Slight variations depending on if you were shot, stabbed, died of hunger, blood-loss, etc. Would make finding dead players a bit more fun. You would be like a detective. Able to know of someone has been in the area. And the biggest thing I think it needs is more “Endgame Objectives”. Yeh building bases, having fights, surviving is good. But sometimes it does get stale. The modded servers have long term and hard unofficial missions, like getting to Lantia on Namalsk or Crypts on Izetek. The Livonia bunker was a good start, but Chernarus needs stuff like that. A really difficult multi-faceted objective that takes time.

Enviromental things for immersion, rotting corpses in houses or skeletons etc. some form of gore I feel would add tons of immersion. Or at least better textured blood splatters that are really pale and faded in houses. Also maybe rework some of the buildings and open up the barred off doors, wouldchange things up a bit in a very familiar map.

I've always wanted animal calls.. to call deer or maybe turkeys? Any of the bird calls we already have sound for.. just the idea to actually use for hunting..or trapping other players.

i would like to have few AI strongholds around the map, green mountain and altar for sure would be two good ones like they are traders in most community servers. maybe some hostile AI why not.

Should be an ability to cook rice and more cooking recipes like stew or coffee to give energy or regen or warmth buffs or tea for immunity buffs also need more reasons for people to work together and make settlements and focus on survival more/ more challenging zombies might help with that.

I think these are great ideas. Majority are on PC already if not all. I think the Dayz devs can learn a lot from modders and see what players like to have in game and added them to console.

Modders get a lot of praise for recycling old animations, models and code that don't sync up. I have never seen a mod with better craft than the devs do. Hell I've never seen a weapon mod with an original animation.

I play on Xbox. Sleeping bags should be optional on community servers and then official can continue to not have them to have that traditional Dayz feel. Obviously they can be modded in on PC community severs but on console we do not have them, like a lot of things.

I'd like the bedroll to be used to rest your character rather than a respawn funcfion, this could give you a stamina buff or help you regain health quicker. Of course it would have to be influenced by where you place it, eg if it's outside you won't get much benefit. If it was in your base you could get an extra bonus as a bit of reward for the time constructing a base. Also base related, a chance that it will attract zombies hordes to your base I think could be a cool feature, but of course this would only occur if you were in your base at the time.

Yes! to all. I've fantasized about a few ideas too. Having a deer whistle to call deer and hungry players. Maybe a base alarm and more base items like safes and weapon racks. Juggernaut Armour you can only jog in but can withstand grenades and a few headshot shots (good for raiding). Hidden belt and pockets so you could whip out a small pistol when you get robbed. mushrooms that are poisonous. possibly stealth kills on players with knives and tasers if you can do like a 5-second time wheel behind them.

I have another 'idea' that the lack of right now is not only ridiculously stupid but breaks the immersion completely. And that is the inability to do basicaly anything when in the car, especially for the passenger. Why can't one at least browse and manage his/her equipment, treat wounds, not to mention shoot out of the car?

I feel the game is due for an engine overhaul. So many things just bug out so much because of the aging engine. Problem is Bohemia Interactive just doesn’t get enough financial incentive. I mean the game is even free on Xbox with game-pass. Thankfully they don’t have skins or micro-transactions, but I can’t see the game being a money maker at all. The simple fact we’re still getting updates and additional features is amazing in itself.

Mate I've been trying to talk to the twitter human about seeing it they can add a special stretcher which would be craftable and findable which would let you carry teammates and enermies either alive or dead. Slow if you drag with just the handle or fast and with a gun out if you have a rope attached to the stretcher. I feel like a normal over the shoulder carrying for unconscious or dead where they slow due to weight down the carrier would make sense but then if you had the stretcher then you get no weight penalty from dragging the player and you just drop the stretch and run rather then some sort of pick/drop animation when over shorlder. I also which they would add a proper respect pose you could use to honor a dead mate before they come back (could role-play a funeral if your dark enough).

Crafting tables like the OG DayZ mod for arma once built you could use it to upgrade your base with endless things so long as you had the parts for it.

A simple and small change I thought about earlier that I'd like to see is burlap sacks being able to be used as a container. Its a bag! So why can't we store items in it? It wouldn't even have to be much, just the same amount of slots it uses now. But maybe allow it to be placed as a static object like a crate for a small secret stash in your base, or to stash the car keys mentioned in the video!

If they were to bring us back spray paint I would expect an update that includes colors like black, white, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, red, brown and orange while you should be able to make simple icons or markings on buildings (especially in base building), road maps, vehicles, weapons and clothing items such as helmet, backpack, armband, vest, leather clothing and much more. Of course you shouldn't be able to paint over every single item of clothing but some of what is available and possibly will be available in the future whereas if you play Nalamesk or Winter Chernarus you should be able to paint a decent winter/artic camo without having to use a winter ghillie. I'd also like to see an update that allows you to use the Beine (Or another similar winter hat) and with or without the Bandana Mask instead of the Ski Mask/Balaclava while wearing an Assault, Tactical and Ballistic helmet on your character to simply expand the clothing options in DayZ.

I'd love to see more customer options for your character, ie, facial features, changing their name, even a bio spot to give a bit of background. This can be kept on a "diary" type thing on the character so when they die, you are able to find out about the person you just killed. I'd also love to see some stats, and a character history so you are able to compare one of your characters to another.

As you mentioned that you want more use for a generator and what craftable items you want to see well, why not a GO-KART you need to take apart the generator with a screw driver and rench 8 pipes which can be connected with the blow torch you need a screw driver to undo a steering wheel from any whecked car new item is small wheels and bicycle seats boom you have your self a GO KART

It wasn't just the M249 were were promised, we were also shown and promised the PKM....as well as the RPG-7 and LAW to your "weapon mounted Humvee" statement (and of course, if they ever get around to returning the shown, and again, promised, Little Bird helicopter). Don't remember if it was your first video about this, or this one (i just watched both back to back), but remember, we USED to have those large camonet shelters years ago, one of which was literally perfect for driving a car or even a V3S underneath and it being completely camouflaged from three sides.... and it was always intended to be craftable, something they never got around to getting working before they removed it and the rest of the placable camonet shelters completely (you can see most of them at military areas, except the one i mentioned, because that one was supposed to be craftable and had a bundle of short sticks at its base where you would park). Oh yeah.... remember "world storage"? Both separate (placable) refrigerators that had storage, as well as they tested the houses themselves having storage....seems they forgot, again, and decided to work on other things, like lip smacking 🙄

Love the idea of adding pockets to existing clothing or how about a make shift weapon bench you can throw pipes, rope, metal, and nails into granting you a one-shot, no repair weapon? Scatter them around the map like the Plank spawns 🤓

Please add mainstay features of community servers without the absolutely immersion/gamebreaking instant gratification mechanics of community servers. Sleeping bags are neat but not for spawn points (gamebreaking) Maybe use them for stat buffs and healing. A well rested buff like the heat buff but for stamina and maybe health regeneration.

Ural truck from the Arma2 mod that you see wrecks in standalone game would be amazing in my opinion. Same or lower cargo capacity as M3S/V3S but much higher top speed and off road performance would make it a good late game item. Since its water cooled it would require more parts to assemble it and could be a rare spawn like Humvee. And speaking of armed cars. Not only Humvee with a turret would be cool but also something like a Toyota truck with gun mounted to the bed like in the old mod days.

When modding was first introduced to DayZ SA, i remember playing on a server with modded hordes. They were fun to fight and dropped amazing loot, BUT caused massive lag spikes and server performance was awful once the horde spawned in.

Flexible hang glider suits. Assorted booby traps, in ground...tree traps....spiked bamboo traps. Wealthy modern islands, slums, dumps/tips, Wrecking yards, stadiums. Ham radios, Trackers...body... vehicle... Dye bombs for cash.

Well, DayZUnderground mod and server has pretty much most of the things you mentioned in this video, plus it is hard-core survival. Considering sleeping bags, i don't like that it can let you to respawn at base after dying. Bro, you died. Get your ass back on the coast. But, I would love to see a sleeping feature. Basically, every day, you need to spend up to 20min sleeping to get fully rested and sleeping bag helps with this to speed up the process.

Question about Steel Series Sonar if you or anyone can help. I tried it and it sounded really good. My issue was i could no longer hear the sounds from heli crashes. I assumed i was probably not hearing other in game sounds as well like deer, bears and other big game animals. Is there a setting that might be muting or supressing sounds in the distance?

a sleeping bag should only be placed down in your base within the flags radius and has a cooldown timer of 12 hours after a use.

I think they should do a single player option which has hoards in every city - I don't see hoards working on servers honestly as to sleeping bags I don't think there is anyway to balance it fairly enough so think they should stay out of base game and only be on modded server so you can choose if you play with it or not

Unessesary if they were to be added then let me open your car by smashing the window. Bases are already too HARD to raid. 1 or to crowbars should do it imo.
