“I’m Judge Robert J. Franklin. I chose the law as my way of serving my fellow citizens. As an elected judge in the family court, I pray each day that God would give me the wisdom to always temper justice with mercy.”

Thanks for this - and for leaving the commercials in it also:).

"What you are about to see is a dramatization of an actual case in family court. Because of the emotional and sensitive nature of the issues presented here, Judge Franklin's courtroom is closed to the public. The proceedings is about to begin."

Community service instead of juvenile detention... good idea. Because as the judge said, he may have broken in, but it was to protect his dad's memory.

Is The Judge set up like Divorce Court with both witnesses and lawyers are actors? What season is this case from?
@ravvyj4 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. Both shows are dramatizations. I believe that this episode was recorded from TV in either 1987, or 1988.
@sha112354 жыл бұрын
@@ravvyj I think this is the first season, since the courtroom looks a little different than the later years, like the wall behind the judge for example. Also, on DC, at first, the lawyers were real lawyers, then they used actors.

IIRC, Divorce Court had a real judge and a real bailiff.
