They look so much better black and white on black like you say the red candy one was nice but looked way better with the colors you used black and white or sepia also looks awesome I’ve been a tattoo artist for 35 years and I never get sick of skulls and you can take the same skulls and do them a 1000 different ways that’s what I love about them great videos I’m learning slowly it’s hard to get used to moving trigger back and forth but starting to get the hang of it I do a hour or two a day just playing around doing all the basic stuff safer strokes dots al that stuff I’ve always wanted to learn and it’s now or never and I’m hell bent great videos keep them comming thank s

You have no idea how glad I am you shared the issues you was having. I was having the same issues and couldn't fix it for the life of me. Ended up going out and getting an Iwata Neo, one of the trigger ones. Brought it home fell in love and couldn't believe the detail I was getting with my black. Then changed to white and bam same issue I was having before. Finally found out white is issues for everyone. Yet for years I've never seen white issues in videos nor has it been for me because I didn't use it much. Mostly I used my airbrush with color, until I was commissioned to do a grim reaper on a glove box. It's done now and looks great which I attribute to the Iwata. Then today seeing you have the same issues with the white was so great. Now I can expect it. Thanks again for keeping it raw.
@AirbrushAsylum6 жыл бұрын
No probs and thanks so much for your comment and feedback and glad the ‘raw’ format helps. Yes, white is always a problem but you can definitely make it perform a little better by straining your paint and keeping it reduced nice and thin...only prob then is you need to go over your strokes numerous times to get maximum opacity, that said I prefer that then putting up with stacks of tip drying lol 👍🏼

50,000 different opinions on which airbrush to purchase for beginners. Just starting my research, and it already seems you need at least 2, one for laying down primer or clear coat, and one for more detail oriented work. What would be your purchase if you could only buy one right now? It seems I’m leaning towards the badger patriot 105?

Btw, subbed.. Awesome work! Thank you for sharing.
@AirbrushAsylum5 жыл бұрын
Many thanks for your comment and appreciate you subbing 🙏🏻 in regards to which airbrush I would recommend , I would say that if you are willing to spend the $ then I would say a iwata cmsb see following affiliate link amzn.to/2KfY5q1 or if you wish to spend less than $200 then I would recommend the HPCS eclipse which you can also view or purchase using the following affiliate link amzn.to/2wtufpy hope that helps, 👍🏻 I am sure the badger would be great as well but I personally prefer iwata 😜

Those airbrushes seem to have a little performance anxiety! Great video and on the that some of the beginners don't understand with the stencils is how you used them to fade the edges into the background. You did a great example of that here. One question I have unrelated is when do you use pre/post cleaner vise wax and grease remover? Thanks again! Don
@AirbrushAsylum6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and yes, those brushes gave me some trouble that day 😬 I use both a waterbased and solvent degreaser to make sure I remove all contaminants and ensure that I have a clean surface to work on, hope that helps 👍🏼

Thank you, for all the good tips. A question. When painting details how do you mix the black color. you do not use carbon black color, or? Just think it's so easy to kill the subject with too dark color. Chris 🇸🇪
@AirbrushAsylum6 жыл бұрын
I reduce the black and mix it with transparent base to take the edge off it, alternatively I may also add a few drops of brown or blue to the black 👍🏼

What PSI do you use ?
@AirbrushAsylum6 жыл бұрын
It varies from 5-40psi check out our vid explaining this in more detail 👍🏼
@d.d.b.52286 жыл бұрын
I find around 15 psi - 20. You have play around with your reducer use 4012 its great stuff and there is no formula really just dont over reduce your paint play around with the psi and youll get it. White is hard sometimes to work with just keep your tip clean offten. I find the best paints are house of colour and the reducers that go with the products. I have never used any other paints than house of colour. This is an excellent video of how to push and pull your shades and shadows and your high lights. Remember there are no mistakes in airbrushing you can always go back and fix it or leave it for a distress look. This is a great template but you can render your own single skulls yourself and get your own thing going. When painting remember where your light source is coming from. That how you render shadows to push and pull white and black. Its a great video.
