In 1977 I let a couple brothers, Paco 17 & Nacho 18 use one of my new boards, at Pasquales, Tecoman Colima. They never surfed but went out and started riding waves ! I gave them the new board and later, their father came over to where I was camping under a huge palapa. Hugo Candelas Sanchez was shaking and said, "Gary anyone that would give my boys a gift like that is my friend, Gary, YOU are my friend!" Then he handed me a set of keys to his ramada that they only used two or three times a year. I moved in and called my friends. We had three bedrooms, a kitchen, pool water, electricity and a bathroom. Yahoo ! Those were the days. For six months I surfed Pasquales almost all by myself, not today.....
