@@sabeto5527 Not the best actor, but like Stallone better then he gets credit for. Terminator 1 is still a masterpiece, at least a part of it is Arnolds acting. He really moves/behaves like a cyborg. The same goes for Stallone, the first Rambo and Rocky are proof of that.
@gandalf8216
@gandalf8216 2 жыл бұрын
People often confuse casting with acting. Anyone can be the best at a specific role, because that's the role of the caster, to actually put the right person to act the specific role. The actor is a person that tries his or her best to live up to the casting. Arnold is someone you write a role for, not someone that can play just any role. Good actors have a range, good casters know who to put in specific roles. Arnold isn't a particularly good actor, but he's excellent to cast for a specific kind of role.

@@gandalf8216 Yeah. I always get the feeling that although he do not communicate a huge range of emotions, in Conan his acting is excellent. Rage, vengeance and focus, and that what Conan is. Is not plotting, manipulating or things like that, he is and adventurer and a warrior.

@@chriscuts7029 true,but he wasn’t a professional actor. He was a weight lifter. Hollywood made him a star. Don’t get me wrong I have immense respect for his weightlifting achievements but those didn’t make him worth $400,000,000,Hollywood did.

Considering he is iconic in those "action muscle" roles and is still remembered for them, I can't agree that he was "misused" in them.
@cybergothika6906
@cybergothika6906 2 жыл бұрын
@@alaron5698 Misused is the perfect term because money matters more for them specially in that era. Today we get fantastically free, even comedy actors like Adam Sandler made a drama movie and performed greatly with Uncut Gems. If given the chance, Arnie could as well perform in non-action movies I guarantee that. That's what I meant.
