Best dogs in Ct. My mom was born i 1921 and started going there as a teenager.I was born in 1951 and my parents brought me there as a kid. I'm 72 and still going there. Also best relish ever. And don't know where they get their beef from but the cheese burgers are delicious. And old fashioned milk shakes. Doesn't get any better than this. A true taste of nostalgia.

This brings back memories of my childhood in the 80s. I grew up in Cheshire, everyone ate at Blackies. My dad used to hang out there in high school. It looks exactly the same and the hot dogs were made exactly the same way thirty years ago. The relish was the best part. Also, it's pronounced Cheshire like Cheshire cat.

Hey Frank. Have you seen the new Mountain Dew flavor? Gingerbread Snap'd? Would you try it for the channel? It's...... interesting and worth trying. I won't say anything to spoil it other than say if you love the taste or at the very least smell (you'd see why I worded it like that) of gingerbread you'll adore this and that I greedily finished my bottle in moments. I stop at the Speedway gas station a few blocks from home several days a week and they had it in their coolers (they also have an Speedway exclusive flavor that is delicious too if you had a location near you. Raspberry Lemonade in Yellow bottle/caps). My local grocery also has it in the 12ers.

Slicing the dog during grilling is fine. How is it any worse than letting it split while fried? Ted's from Buffalo and Tempe slices their encased meats during grilling and all top of the line.
