I don't understand why the officials aren't acknowledging the dozens upon dozens of private helicopter pilots that are supporting the airlift of supplies and evacuating stranded people. Or the hundred of trailers of donated supplies coming in from all over the Carolina's and surrounding states.

Thanks to the South Carolina officials including the governor for when disasters happens it is always the federal government that has the backs of the people in whatever states. Thank you president Biden for always doing your best by putting people first.

@marymarilyn I live here and yes he is helping. As a matter of fact he had already started the ball rolling on the funds to be released before the hurricane hit so there wouldn't be any delays in getting help to the people. Your comment says more about who you are than who President Biden is. And before you ask I have donated what goods I have to help the people who harder hit than we were in Greenville .

The President has much to do and when you are using air transport you have a flight plan that may not get you there on schedule but the federal help was already in place before the storm hit.

C'Mon Man... This is a sh!tshow! DC to Greenville? What.. 400 Miles? Fly's from DC to Greenville... on Air Force One then hops on a Helicopter to "Survey" the damage? Who are these people trying to kid here? If Joe woke up early enough... He could of been there and back, in time for dinner... just using the Helicopter! He didn't need all these people! Looks like GSP Airport would make a great place to fly in supplies and equipment to the effective areas. So now... later... I guess we'll be suffering through speech on how his beach front property in Delaware was "almost" flooded... and that's no hyperbole... it's the truth... no kidding... I'm serious.

Once again, Presidents are not required to salute. He is the civilian Commander-in-Chief of the armed services not a member of the military. President Reagan never choice to salute, his choice.
