@carltonbanks5470 Frankie Beverly formed Raw Soul in 1970. He wrote songs and performed as part of the group Raw Soul until 1976. Soonafter, the group's name was changed to Maze at the suggestion of his mentor, the legendary Marvin Gaye. The song, "I Need You," was originally performed by Frankie Beverly's group Raw Soul in 1975. The group signed to a major record deal after the group name change. The song "I Need You" was later added as a single to a Frankie Beverly & Maze album in 1978.

I saw Lenny Williams in a recent concert, and he looks really good still and sounds even better than before. Just to see someone like Tuka, King George, etc, that are of a younger generation, doing blues. They have old souls. The entire concert was amazing. I actually enjoyed the entire show from the beginning until the end. Just like Biggie, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Heavy D, Will Smith, Angie Stone, Fantasia, even October London, sounds just like Marvin Gaye to me, including his music. Loving the fact that the majority of these young individuals are doing and interested in old school songs or music. Rather it's in the background or a remix.

I dedicate this song to my beautiful MaMa, who put me onto Maze when I was in the womb, but didn’t grow to appreciate this high vibrational music until I got “older.” This is music at its purest and highest frequency. Which makes sense that the woman that has the purest love for me, my mother, put me onto this music. I thank Allah for such beautiful art and people. Life is rough sometimes but you put a track like this on, take a deep breath, and look up at the sky, and realize it’s all gonna be ok. I love everybody reading this. Peace and love. Love is the highest frequency there is. Don’t let nobody tell you otherwise. If it won’t true, there wouldn’t be music like this. -❤️🔥
