Put Pickard in. Even consider Jack. He bailed him out last playoffs and the coaching staff was blinded not to keep him in. Sure Jack blew in the regular season, but playoffs are a different story. Just look at the 3rd string goalie that is outperforming him right now. You got Cal, Jack, and Rodriguez. Pick one of them, just not Stu.

I like Stu but im really starting to think hes not a playoff goalie. Hes getting badly outplayed by vancouvers 3rd stringer. Is he the guy who can win us a cup? I say no. A few years ago the Avs moved on from Grubaur after years of great regular seasons and playoff heartbreaks. Signed an upgrade in net, darcy keumper and won the cup that same year.

I say start Campbell - hey we're paying him 5M a year and from what I've heard he played well down in Bako (not sure of the playoffs). Skinner needs to rest and get his head straight - put in Campbell, have Pickard back him up, and let Skinner sit in the press box where he can not be 'game' stressed and get his mental focus back. Who knows, maybe Campbell gets his mojo back that he had in Toronto

I feel like goaltending is such an ambiguous position - where skill only has so much affect on gameplay. It a combination of mental fortitude, physical skill, and the same mental/physical duo for all the players in front of you.

You know what, I always admire how he responds after a game where he doesn't do well. I think the last game is the only time this year where he caused a loss and wasn't immediately available to the media. He immediately points that out, apologizes, and acknowledges that 90% of the issue was mental. If he does get going again, it's not going to be by ducking his head, trying not to think about what just happened, and ceding the starting spot to Pickard. I hope they do sit him for a game to give him a break, and after that, I hope he forces his way back in goal. He knows they need more from him. He's proven capable of stepping it up in the past. If he's going to break through and make it over the hump, now is the time.

What an outstanding guy! I am a Canucks fan, but can’t help but feel for him. He is laying it all out here quite honestly. Maybe a sports psychologist could help as I’m sure he is under tremendous pressure. Oilers don’t defend and the coach was already looking for a scapegoat after game 3.Maybe Oilers should rally around their goalie a bit a help him out. I still want Canuck to win in game 7, but I also want Skinner to be at his best when we beat Oilers.

Skinner saying nothing he did wrong was technical is both concerning and revealing. His positioning in net is off, bad, at times. He also sometimes freezes and goes down early sometimes and then cannot track a pass across the ice, giving the other team wide open net goals. Boeser got one last night where Stu was no where close. There’s a lot of technical improvements he could make
