This. I silently left the tarottube community about a year ago for this exact reason. I'm now trying to pivot my channel towards talking about walking the path of a priestess but the algo just doesn’t understand what Im trying to do 😅 I know I have some subs who enjoy my view on things, but I think most just want to see decks, which is fine (I was subbed to a lot of channels just to see decks) but it's just empty and makes me feel as if I'm just a sales rep for hayhouse 😅

I feel this part of what you said so much; "makes me feel as if I'm just a sales rep for Hayhouse." In all of the unboxing videos and reviews I have done, I only ever had one creator say thank you, and that is a lot of the problem as far as I am concerned. Those deck creators get free advertising and marketing from us and they aren't even thankful. My energy will be better spent making content I feel passionate about, and if it benefits anyone, it will be myself above all others. It's a lesson in self-worth and preservation.

Yes! Instagram feels like the worst for expenditure of energy vs how much free, valuable content people give away on there. We have to respect our energy and knowledge better ⚔️

Don’t feel bad about being honest with your feelings. Your feelings are valid. You should only do what feels right for you. I feel you on the obligation front it’s truly outrageous

I am here because I like your vibe, your personality and your content. as you said it should never feel like an obligation and for me whatever I watch and wherever I comment has always been genuine 😎 I have been commenting on channels who never comment under my videos, just because Im appreciative of what I like not because of having an agenda. I think it all has to do with being emotionally mature enough. Excited for your other channel too love and wish you a blessed 2023 🩷🩵🩶

I completely understand where you are coming from here. I don't watch anyone I don't want to watch anymore, but I also only watch those that give me back the same support in one way or another. I make those rules for my own self worth and love. I don't care who doesn't like it, my life, my rules....LOL I had to make some hard choices a couple of months ago to stop following certain memberships that I loved but simply just didn't have the time for. I personally don't feel like it is an obligation for obligation but more about an equally respectful exchange of support and joining into my community. We all want different things out of our KZbin & Social Media experiences and I that is a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing your feelings with us.

Yes! We really should stay authentic, even in these spaces. So much emphasis is put on numbers and making people feel obligated on these platforms, that what I end up seeing is just a lot of repeated information instead of people sharing their own perspectives and workings. I mainly watch those who are sharing from a personal perspective and experience, as opposed to a "teaching" style. Both are giving information and inspirations, but the style of delivery is completely different.
