I really do appreciate these long form videos. I love how you capture the quiet moments and find the magic in the mundane, so to speak. Obviously I love to see the exciting bits, but I love the stillness just as much. Sort of reminds me of the rawness of your early stuff combined with gorgeous cinematography and sound design. Massive props to the whole team!

Totally agree. A big part of sailing is to slow down, relax, and appreciate these moments of silence. Feeling the wind and the sun on your skin, just being more present in the moment. That's what these videos remind me of. And as a bonus, we get to watch these amazing people share with us their story and allow us to see incredible places all around the world.

DUDE Elayna. Riley. I haven't missed an epi in 4 years. They're all great. But this epi right here is what it's all about. Sailing, living, hanging out. Beautiful cinematography, relaxing sounds, sweet family footage, and then Riley going balls to the wall nerdy about in depth sailing stuff. Finger of god. Love it. Keep it up. The simplest shots held just long enough to feel the wind, hear the water, see the light…and jump overboard…just I’ve done, too, sailing for months in years past. The still water at dawn & dusk, the utter JOY in Riley over wind & sail speed… Elayna’s tender words on our troubled world & her gratitude for peace, love, family and life. Truly brought tears to my eyes. I love you kids, as I write from this old Victorian in SanFrancisco, surrounded by Art & SO reluctantly landlocked….but you always satisfy this old dame with the MOST beautiful, vicarious adventures! Thanks for this glorious movie w/delicate music lingering in my head♥️💕💃🏼

Well - what can I say, except that you've become quite the accomplished little film maker, Eleyna. And I say that as a BBC-trained director myself. Great footage, great production, editing, wonderful soundtrack - well mixed! - BRAVO!! And what impresses me most is that despite living within some 'relatively' confined spaces, you still - after all these years - manage to find refreshing and pleasing angles to shoot within the confines of the boat. I know you had help this time, but still - you've done yourself proud!

Elaina, you said you didn’t know what you did to deserve the life that you have. Well, I’m a 73 year old Aussie surfer expat who left Australia when I was 21 to travel the world in search of the best waves in the world. I followed my dreams and against all odds I married the girl of my dreams in Hawaii and built a wonderful family and life here on the island of Kauai where I have now lived and surf travelled from for 45 years. You and Riley are also doing that - you are a beautiful soul and you chose a wonderful partner in Riley and have two beautiful children, yet you both are successfully following your dream life. Therefor, you 100% deserve what you have. So here’s to “The Dream” - Keep It Going. Aloha.🙏🌴

This was one of my favourite videos of yours yet and it was great timing as I just got out of hospital and needed a relaxing boost!! I've been following along each week for many many years and this is my first comment! I can't even remember how I found your channel as I am not a sailer (nor desire to be one) or a big youtube watcher except occasionally for veg growing and yet yours is the only one I log on for and wait for each and every week (I've been a brief patreon to give back a few times as well). Somewhere in my sub conscience you are probably partly responsible for me having the guts to change my career after a decade a few years back. It took us nearly 5 years to conceive our first baby (nearly a year old now!) yet watching your family expand brought joy as you recognised from the start its not always easy for everyone. Having them on this journey now with you just makes your channel even more appealing to me. Anyway there is so much more I could say but this is already a long winded thank you. I love the slower paced videos that really take you along properly, thats what I'm here for! Can't wait until you're on your own boat again!! Love from a Canadian mama in the U.K. xxx

RILEY! Honestly this is the first time I have seen a "performance" multihull actually deliver a performance benefit to such a high level that I would actually choose it over a "cruising" multihull and loose/sacrifice the comfort and weight carrying because of it, you did a great job of capturing the experience, practical benefit and emotion (fun) of it this in this episode thanks The rest of the team are clicking so well right now too, Forest has a good eye for framing shots too Awesome episode, maybe my favourite ever, can't wait to see you getting some effortless performance out of the SIXTY!

Late to the party, but just wanted to leave a comment and shout you out because I feel that your videos are so pure and show what life is about when you strip it down to its core components (e.g. freedom, family, health, nature, balance, productivity). As you know, living in cities can sometimes put you down, be it in professional or personal life. For me, and as for many others, it's the problems with the former at the moment and during those weeks of looking for work, it's sometimes tough to stay mentally strong and that's where your videos help. To be honest, I have not been watching for months and I am definitely getting emotional coming back to this content now, seeing you doing so well and feeling that things will be OK.

I am assuming there will be a second channel once you all get the 60 that will be called Riley's Rapido Reactions! 😁 Thank you all for taking us along on this wonderful journey. For almost 50 minutes, I was able to put away the stressors of life and enjoy the sail. Take care! Thanks for all the hard work that goes into the long form vids.

Riley's enthusiasm and excitement is contagious! Your boys are both gorgeous - such a delightful age to be so curious and exploring life fully - they're living the dream. As parents you've done incredibly well to create balance for them. Kudos! Great video, loved this longer version. Thank you!

Yes Rhileys enthusiam and knowledge of sailing is outstanding he will learn the boys well. They are two beautiful boys a credit to them. They always get great helpers too, who do a fantastic job on the boat and with the boys. 🙂

I have to admit, I didn’t understand why you would want a new Vagabond. However as Riley was celebrating the speed that you were able to achieve, I started to see understand, this boat is everything anyone could ever dream of. Thank you Riley for explaining how the wind funnels through the dips on the island, thank you Elayna for taking us on more adventures, and thank you boys for giving me some laughs, I admire you all so much. What a wonderful life you have chosen, and thank you for sharing it with this landlocked grandma. Please stay safe.❤

Riley, it's very, very refreshing to watch your sailing trips which are so smartly done. Really a cut above the rest (I know that Elaina gets most of that credit, such wonderful film making). I selfishly try and follow along in my head with my boat in mind to all the same little things that are being noticed. I think every captain has little things he puts thoughts to in hopes of getting it just right or learning how to solve that little nagging concern - when you get the boat just right that just it balances on the cut, and to log that into your mind how you did that...really really great. I have my list of things I want to be better and I keep thinking about them and it's so great to overcome them with your persistence in thought and attempts to gain mastery of your vessel - even if it's not a multi-hull master piece - All us sailors have our little victories and while yours are many for all of the obvious reasons (family, health, children,..) it's so very nice that you still notice the new subtle side of your boat just like the rest of us. Good on you man. Thanks for letting us share that. God Speed & Sail ON.
