Possibly being ripped off. But tomato market prices sometimes fluctuate drastically depending on supply, and season. I haven't been in Zambia for a few years and things may have changed, but we once experimented with growing tomatoes and wholesale prices for a large box of tomatoes were typically between K80 and K150 (if I remember correctly) but at the extremes could drop to K5 or go as high as K400. That could explain it.
