And these Safe Havens even have orange bags for care of the mother too. Without legal issues. The parents can then mail or email a form back, if they choose to, to send genetic health info that will go into the child’s file for future purposes like health issues etc.

All these angry blasting comments assume that there is not a constant stream of people using the trail, and son what the person did was approximately equivalent to taking it to the proper place. Perhaps the person had more to worry about being seen than how long the baby will be alone "out in the woods". Furthermore other vids show a man dropping it off. Suppose he is a friend not the father and was doing a favor far a devastated mother who couldn't stop crying to do anything at all. Would you suggest HE take the baby not a hospital or firehouse? What about if he is seen en route? He'd be arrested and convicted of kidnapping. Furthermore maybe he looked from a distance and was prepared to go back and get it if it was not found within N minutes. Just sayin'. Safe Haven Baby Box is a drop box located on the OUTSIDE of a hospital/fire station so to people afraid of confrontation, there is NONE. the drop box is an incubator to keep baby safe & warm. when the person opens the door, a silent alarm goes off that the door was opened. once the baby is placed in the box, a sensor sets off a 2nd alarm. once the person closes the door back up, a 3rd alarm goes out to dispatch. the person can just walk away. rescue workers would much rather have the chance to get the baby help than to confront & corner the person dropping the baby off. please get this info out to young people in your school, your church, a coworker.. anyone who might need some help. there are resources out there. it is heartbreaking & traumatizing to any person who has to make this choice but please don't do something that you can't take back & will have to live with a wrong/rash decision made during the middle of a crisis
