@EnnoJekyll10 жыл бұрын
well, I think he wanted tarantino to comment on his way of making violent movies and still "keeping it real" in his own way, being true, just flesh and bone if you will, but in this case "flesh and blood". It's not a stupid question, he just did'nt know how to formulate him self. He was probably pretty nervous as well. But who knows.. I could be wrong.

He was trying to make a comment about how Tarantino's movies are all about flesh and blood; blood spraying, limbs getting hacked off, that sort of thing. You know like, 'Man, there's so much blood spewing and so many chunks of meat flying, is there even any bone in your characters?', but he didn't get it across very well.
@JW117111 жыл бұрын
Thats somethign you ask during an interview, not during a quick press time after the oscars.
@nikker198511 жыл бұрын
I consider Tarantino more realistic than other directors who just include what is necessary for the plot. When a character says something, he is basically explainning the movie. Tarantino;s dialogues are about random stuff, like alarm clocks, or Top Gun's gay subcontext or Madonna's "Like a Virgin". And he uses that tool perfectly, in Inglorious Basterds to create suspense (when they talk about milk while people are hiding and the daughters are out with the soldiers).

The question about the bones is actually not that stupid. The indian guy made a good point, too bad Tarantino felt like he was accused or someghing (like the guy he shut the butt off to).
@OrphanSeasun11 жыл бұрын
I think the Indian guy was asking if Tarantino is only concerned with blood and guts. i.e. is there also a soul. The fucking guy works for a major Indian paper he's not an idiot (like most here) - he was talking about the 2-dimensional blood-and-guts story that appeals to a ready made market. I don't agree, but that's, I believe what the guy was getting at.

No he did not word it correctly. He was muttering and stuttering the second time he asked him. The guy askin the question is jst been an asshole, plain and simple, trying to act the big man in front of everyone, Tarantino is one of the best directors ever. The awards and the recognition he has clearly states this. The question is stupid because when you go into a Tarantino film you know there is going to be unrealistic things in it. Its like when you ask for a cream cake, its going to have cream

I totally got the point, but it's merely a film effect he chooses to use mostly to pay homage to exploitation films of the 70's. He's always had little references and homages here and there with all aspects of his films, the dialogue, settings, costumes, special effects, etc. In the end, he's making entertainment, not teaching a class on biology or anatomy.
