~ I understand that this not the podcast to stand on a soapbox and preach: Bur the exploitation of young black men/kids (most were “Black”) has been going in forever. Salute to those that understand the rules of engagement and use the system for their benefit ~ via sports. I ain’t mad at them at all. If you are athletically gifted enough to do it, make it happen. I wasn’t good enough, and I just wanted to get to a school via sports. I have three sons, the oldest got a football scholarship, and graduated last year and will be in dental school this fall~ and still has a year left in eligibility. The middle son last year, a couple of scholarships for track, hey, good private schools but definitely not D-1. Idc, create more opportunities for themselves. I just hope going forward, these young men learn to use the system to your advantage, cause if you don’t the system will definitely use you for all your worth….
