The scenery sure was awesome …. It’s a popular trail so it was a bit tore up by horses in places (both Horse an Llama packing is very popular here) it was actually the trail I had in mind for a collab if you guys ever swung out this way… but now you can enjoy it vicariously through me! 😂 Brookies we’re eager to bite and they took flies I had tied myself so that was a bonus … I did it on a Monday through Thursday so not many folks out there … I did keep leap frogging a couple of guys (Todd and his son Dave (yup everyone knows one!) so they were nice to chat with and had some nice ideas on campsites so maybe I’ll do it again one day in the reverse direction 🤔 anyhoo.. as always thanks for watching guys ATB Dave Mc

yeh your right ….the scenery is amazing everywhere up in the mountains … heck it’s crazy beautiful just 30mins from our house 😂 … hiking at altitude is tough though …if you ever do it out this way make sure you acclimatize first 😄

Are there sufficient trees to hammock camp on the loop? Mainly by crater lake and Rawah lake?

Never actually made it up to Twin Crater lakes (see part 2 😂) But from other peoples videos there didn’t look like a whole bunch of trees around them… in fact they struggled to get a decent tent pitch up there on the video I saw. Camp lake had a lot of trees just back from it and from what I could see as I passed by the Rawah lakes they had quite a few trees around them as well. Had I done this trail again I would have moved up to the Rawah lakes from Camp lake and stayed there on day two… A couple of guys I met on the trail said they did that and they were just awesome lakes…. Anyhoo thanks for watching and commenting if you do the Rawah Loop trail I hope you have a great time .. ATB Dave Mc
