Thanks John. If it wasn't for the screen it would only take 2-3 mins to clean. With practice, I've gone from taking 10 mins on the screen to 5 mins. This is a great, universal 1st juicer!

Definitely thinking about buying this one John. Seems like it's puts out more juice than the other single auger juicers, and is a little cheaper than the Omega's.

I was just ready to buy this juicer, but then saw the KZbin video by quitoclub. On it, Michael says he bought one and it arrived broken. He had difficulty getting it replaced and had to pay an extra $100 because he lives in Equador. I need to buy a juicer from someone who will back up the warranty if I have problems. I've been burned too many times!

someone told me that it was confirmed by Tribest that the Z-Star contains Melamine in the finished product. I wonder if that is still true now and whether it is true with the Solo-Star II.

This one is pretty tempting but I think the Omega 8004 with the 15 year warranty has me.

I have both. Omega is much easier to clean and excellent but the Solostar yields more juice and is wonderful but a pain to clean.
