I speak all 3 languages, I like finally seeing a multilingual video where I understand everything without having to look at the subtitles.

This is just such a joy to watch, even after 10 long years. I love you and I appreciate you, Alex. 10 years ago you were my idol. 10 years later, you kind of continue to be. Greetings from Mexico.

Thanks for your video. Now I am learning German at home. Though your video let me know, normal learning one new language need to take the time about one year, then we can understand and speak this new language. Before, I was worried and give me heavy pressure by myself. Relax to learning is good! Thank you and Julia!

You're a real inspiration, Alex :) Can I suggest that you maybe put both the subtitles for the English translation as well as the original Russian Cyrillic/Hebrew though, please? Sometimes there are points where I'm wondering what's actually being said in the native language too!

When she talks about a small theatre in Russia, she didn't say 'with a colonade' as the subtitles suggest; she said :театр клоунады. like a humourous/comedy theatre.

Hi Alex, I'm really impressed by your Russian. I'm studying it as well, self study. I know Dutch, English and a little bit German, and Russian. Русский это большой язык. En je Nederlands was ook goed in andere videos. Alleen soms combineerde je woorden met het Engels, petje af.

Spouting a few banal sentences in a variety of languages does not mean that you have near-native fluency in these languages. Mastery of a language entails decades of intensive study. Speaking a foreign language without an accent is a feat. As far as Yiddish is concerned, you haven't even scratched the surface. I doubt whether you know what Yiddish really is and what it sounds like. The few sentences that you try to say here are not completely correct, and your phonology and intonation are those of a foreigner. You're young and idealistic, but in future years you'll realize that an in-depth knowledge of a language (even of one's mother tongue) cannot be acquired in a few months or years. [I am a Yiddish, French and Slavic linguist with decades of professional experience (teaching Yiddish and other languages on the university level, Yiddish journalism with articles published in France, America and Israel, research in Yiddish linguistics, concerts of Yiddish songs)]. ITLEKHER ONHEYB IZ SHVER. A ID A LAMDN GIT ZEKH AN EYTSE. IDESH-LOSHN IZ A YAM NIT OISTSUSHEPN, OBER DI TIRKHE IZ ON SHUM SOFEK KEDAI.
