Due to my face size, I picked up the 55, it fit perfectly but there is a difference in the build quality when compared to the Italian Clubmaster, the 55 are only made in China and although they might look the same, the finishing touch and feel is less than my other Ray Ban

💯 % correct. In an official Ray ban shop in a large mall in Thailand I saw both the Asian market ones made in China and then the italian made for foreigners. There was a night and day difference in quality of finish.

Within the last month I purchased the black on gold 51 size but I didn’t like it so I got the tortoise and 51 as well. Both of those did say that they were made in Italy for anyone who may be curious.

Personally I like the 51mm best on you. I am a big fan of the clubmaster design, but find the 51mm aluminum I have are a little small on my medium-large size head. Now that I know there is a 55mm Asian fit I am curious to know if they are actually larger than the 51mm. I understand the lenses are larger and the bridge smaller, but with the adjustable nose pads I wonder if this would be a better, overall wider fit than the 51-21??

Really torn between the 49 and the 51. If i had to choose i would go the 49 for you. As i have said previously, i have a similar size head to you and i have the clubmaster folding, so size 51. When i got it i thought it fit fine but seeing the 49 on you makes me wish the folding came in a 49. I have a question about my clubmaster folding, whether it would be made in Italy or China? It doesn't say on the frame if it was made in Italy or China, doesn't say where it was made at all. I am an optometrist so ordered the frame directly from luxottica and i didn't think to look at the box when i got it. Do you have any thoughts? My thinking is if it doesn't say made in Italy on it, it probably isn't made in Italy. Also thank you for doing this video, i had been hoping you would do a more detailed clubmaster size comparison video for a while.

The oversize (55mm) begins to lose what makes a clubmaster a clubmaster, and more like a wayfarer. I think the 49mm looks best for this style.

51 mm for sure. The 49 looks too small, and with you being a sunglass expert, the 49mm lenses looks like you don't know how to size your sunglasses to your face. 51mm are perfect on you.

Both look good, since they don't differ too much in size. As long as the sunglasses don't fall too short or too wide when it comes to matching it with his outer cheekbones then all is well. The 51mm feel a little bulky, thought that could the black coloring.
