Off topic question but do you perhaps know if the Ray Ban Caravan is produced in Italy? Wouldn‘t like to get a chinese model for 160$

This sunglass has an moulded acetate material, not propionate. It is not the same. If it would be propionate, it would have said on the Ray-Ban website. Nylon or propionate isn’t the only material that can be injected. T means made in China. TH means made in Thailand. i means made in Brasil. K, L, A, R, B, etc means made in Italy, EssilorLuxottica has multiple factory’s in Italy. The letter indicates in wich specific factory the frame is made. If you don’t really know things for sure, just say that after the statement. You can’t for example, know better what this sunglass is made out of than the manufacturer themself. - an EssilorLuxottica GrandOptical optician from Europe.

I believe I said I wasn’t sure what the material actually was made out of because Ray Ban / Luxottica are so horrible when it comes to education buyers on several crucial details of their sunglasses. I was aware that acetate could be injected I just didn’t know that Rayban ever used that technology. Thank you for all this knowledge I greatly appreciate it. I bought these and don’t like them at all. I have a normal face size and they just seem way too bulky on the face. I love my new wayfarers though.
