Big up ... I remember the same, saving my lunch money at school to buy records down Greek St and D'Arblay St... madness. I used to get on the tube and rush there in my lunch break then come back late to class with 4 or 5 records in a bag, well happy! I can relate totally to what nicky said. I used to look forward to going to spinadisc records in northampton as a teenager in the late 80s early 90s and the excitement of going to pick up hip hop/soul/funk/electro/reggae/house tunes I'd heard on the radio was something you don't get now. The digital side has opened up many new avenues for getting creative though, it's a great step forward i think.
