Ray gives a typically splendid performance on fiddle and mando! Not to nitpick, but the tune is not "traditional"; it was the composition of Tommy Jackson, a wrongly overlooked bluegrass and country fiddler from the 1940's - 1970's. Tommy was a frequent "A-team" recording session favorite in Nashville, but is only narrowly known to the fiddling community of today. He is also the composer of "Cherokee Shuffle" (another tune widely credited as "traditional", but it's Jackson's work, and named after the band in which he was playing at the time, Ray Price's Cherokee Cowboys) and "Busy Fingers".
