The thing that impresses me the most about this guy is all the little ornaments he adds to the beat. No two bars are the same but it's not completely random, there's still rhythm there, and that makes a simple drum beat really interesting. For me, what makes a good drummer is not just the technical stuff, but being able to make the "simple" stuff more interesting to listen to, I think that's what separates the pros from the amateurs. The drums for this song could've easily been quite stale if not for Ray. Please forgive me though, I'm not a drummer haha :P
