I remember hearing this on the Weather Channel back around 1995, when I went to go see my uncle in Dallas. Still remember falling asleep during a drive through downtown Dallas at night and waking up to this in the hotel room! Oh the memories…

Mr. Obiedo is one of these musicians who can melt most, if not all my worries away. Consistently excellent music.

My gosh! Haven't heard this one since my Navy days!! I actually heard it on the Weather Channel in the early 90's! Cool, but extremely laid back! EXCELLENT post!

The Weather Channel was a good intro to a lot of good music. Was it "Weather on the 8's"?

I miss when this song (and many others like it) was on The Weather Channel back in the 1990s. This is the song I had been looking for for a very long time.

Actually, the whole CD is poignant and heartfelt as is this tune. I recall how enriching it was when I first heard it. At that time, Ray was new to me, but I went out immediately and bought it. He really has something to say musically. He's jazzy, groovy, hip and in my humbled opinion, unhearlded and underrated. STICKS & STONES - a great CD

I've loved this piece since I first heard it not long after it came out in '93. By now, I know all the notes and beats of all the instruments and I sing them or tap them out with gusto every time I play it -- and then I feel really good.

Wonderful CD with great performers like Kenny Kirkland, Kal Perazzo and others. Good memories, too.

A classic favorite from when I lived near Dolores Park in San Francisco, grooving to "all-digital" radio stations, like the city's KKSF. // I listened to this song many times. Also Torcuato Mariano's "Last Look" from the CD of the same name. Those were golden days of unencumbered bliss.

Wow. Excelente! #LatinJazz #SmoothJazz

I have only recently discovered his music and I feel like I have missed out on so much. I can listen to his music all day and nothing else. Great stuff, Mr. Obiedo!
