The question at 59:00 can also be solved without graph.. As we know ∆ (Treated as delta) = (i + e) - A.. So when i= 32°, e also = 32° ( As ∆ is min.) Then ∆min = 64 - A And when i = 25°. Equation can b written as.. ∆ = (25+e) - A Subtracting 2nd equation from first.. ∆min - ∆ = 39 - e Here as ∆min is smaller tham ∆.. its answer would be -ve So 39 - e = -ve value.. which is only possible when e > 39... So only 4th option satisfies this🙂

Refracted ray doesn't always bend towards normal. In glass slab when the light enters from rarer medium to denser medium then refractive Ray is always bent towards the normal but in prism when the light enters from rarer to denser medium then it is not always bend then normal. why? The light ray is always bent towards the normal when it enters from a rarer medium to a denser medium. This is because the speed of light is slower in a denser medium than in a rarer medium. When light enters a denser medium, it has to travel a shorter distance in the same amount of time, so it bends towards the normal. In a prism, the light ray may not always bend towards the normal when it enters from a rarer medium to a denser medium. This is because the prism is shaped in such a way that the light ray is refracted twice. The first time the light ray is refracted, it bends towards the normal. The second time the light ray is refracted, it bends away from the normal. The overall effect of the two refractions is that the light ray may not bend towards the normal. The amount of bending of the light ray depends on the angle of incidence of the light ray, the refractive index of the prism, and the angle of the prism. If the angle of incidence is small, the light ray will bend only slightly towards the normal. If the angle of incidence is large, the light ray will bend more towards the normal. The refractive index of the prism also affects the amount of bending. The higher the refractive index, the more the light ray will bend towards the normal. The angle of the prism also affects the amount of bending. The larger the angle of the prism, the more the light ray will bend away from the normal. Here are some examples of how the light ray may bend when it enters a prism from a rarer medium to a denser medium: If the angle of incidence is small and the refractive index of the prism is high, the light ray will bend significantly towards the normal. If the angle of incidence is large and the refractive index of the prism is high, the light ray will bend even more towards the normal. If the angle of incidence is small and the refractive index of the prism is low, the light ray will bend only slightly towards the normal. If the angle of incidence is large and the refractive index of the prism is low, the light ray may actually bend away from the normal.

Guys.. Ek doubt tha.. At 28:45 sir ne jo question diya hai.. Usme hmne ek condition check nhi ki.. A = r1 + r2 A=120 , r1 = 30, then r2 will be 90° but hmne triangle dekha ki 120, 60 then 0 angles.. Pr upr wali condition se r2 aa toh rha hai..

For all those having doubt in A 28:45 watch the vid from starting , in the second note point , we have to take A as angle between the two side we are taking , in this case A is 30 not 120 And if we check it with formula R2 will be 0 which made me to resume the vid and watch the ans 😂. So you can use this method also to check if TIR is happening , if R2 is coming 0 or by sin thing (which sir told ) we can check TIR occurence
@aryamanmalhotra63022 жыл бұрын
yaa...r2 is coming zero by that formula, but fir sir ne 60 degree kyu liya...aisa bhi toh possible hai ki reflected ray normal ke saath jaye so that angle between them will be zero

37:42 in this question how are we assuming that the prism has angle 120 30 and 30. a prism has triangular cross section and the triangle has its own properties to hold. sum of 2 angles must be greater than third angle. but the angles are extreme so such prism doesnt exist and the give solution doesnt exist as well

@Lallan Kumar Lallan Kumar Here if the light ray goes straight the the r2 becomes 0° which is not possible so the light will not go straight (parallel to the base side) but it will just tilt a bit an TIR takes place
