Ray ParkerJnr had hits in the 70 s globally, he was massive in Africa back then the rest of the world caught on to what he was doing in the 80' s Who can forget hot stuff, rock on, for those who like to groove, Its time to party now, and his work with Stevie wonder and Barry White, Cheryl Lynn to name a few and he plays on countless records on Motown and other records. The guy is brilliant period .

+Patrick James it;s possible that he just wanted a different pace of life,mayby he has tried doing some hit songs..& it just wasn't happening for him..the songs were good for him-but mayby the timing was off too..i did like alot of his songs too in the past-but not really sure why he decided to take a different route of music..i wonder what it would be like if he did go back to doing the hit songs he did from the past but make brand new one's..
