I won’t see you tonight part 1 is highly recommended. Personally one of my top 10 favorite A7X songs. The whole arrangement of the song is beautiful and the outro of the song in my opinion is the best vocal work M. Shadows has ever done and then the follow up too part 2 goes crazy

My cousin is a Marine. One night, he opened up to me about the things he's seen and done during his service from 2004 until 2016. I hadn't heard this song before we had those talks. Fast forward to 2019, and I started to dive into A7X. The first time i heard this song, it stopped me in my tracks, and I instantly thought of those talks we had. I instantly began to cry and truly understood the pain my cousin lived with every day. 💔

5:55 well you'll be surprise that this picking/rhythm technique is indeed called the gallop and coined exactly for this reason.. it's actually pretty common in metal in general although i find it especially easier to spot in power metal.. also, i might be wrong but i think one of the first bands to helped popularize the technique is iron maiden..

Why's everyone recommending *just* I Won't See Tonight part 1 and not Parts 1 *and* 2? The contrast between them lyrically, vocally, and musically are great and I feel like they tell a fantastic story when heard as one whole. Also the 2005 live version of MIA still goes hard and I still recommend that (to everyone really).

Because part 2 is completely unnecessary to enjoy part 1 and adds absolutely nothing to it honestly. It's such a worse song by miles. It actually takes away from Part 1 significantly to listen to that awful track after.

@derpderpin1568 Couldn't disagree more, Part 1 is saying goodbye while part 2 is the anger and the pain over losing the loved one, from the harsher vocals to even the opening verse "Come back to me, this is unconceivable Breaking apart the ones you love Hate runs deep for what you've done to us Left alone through suicide" To other lines like "I just wanna die, take away my life, lay by your side" Maybe your fortunate enough to never have dealt with loss especially losing a friend to suicide but it hits you like a train one day they're there and everything is calm and great then without warning they're torn away from you, the music mimics this with how Part 1 is calm and everything will be alright then Part 2 comes in full force unrelentingly heavy Not too mention that's exactly what Pantera did with the songs Suicide Note Part 1 and 2 where 1 is chill and 2 is heavier and angrier, which given the similarities you can bet your bottom it was probably an inspiration My only guess is you're scared of screaming so you never even listened to Part 2 or Waking The Fallen album at all

Because part one is beautiful and truly emphasizes their talent vocally, melodically, lyrically and emotionally. Part two is pretty hard core and both of the songs are completely different from each other.

Honestly, I really recommend Mad Hatter, the song they made for a map from Call Of Duty Zombies in Black Ops 4. Highly slept on, but as someone who grew up listening to this band for over two decades it's one of my personal favourites! Or if you want one from this album I'd go for Sidewinder next!

That gallop is very Iron Maiden inspired, it was very intentional. I love it, the rhythm guitar is awesome and the duel melodies work so well on both guitars. I’m still working on the solo, it’s taken me months and I still can only play half of it.
