I totally agree with you on not supporting these companies buying studios. It's competition reduction and nothing more. I fully disagree with you on Phil. He's a senior executive in Microsoft... He's only one part of the problem, but he is way more than just a fall guy meat shield. He's a very rich guy thanks to Microsoft, and he's been directly on Satya's senior leadership team for a long time. To suggest he's not in lock step with the decision making, it's naive.

Xbox has been doomed as a console manufacturer from the start. They have competed in exactly one console generation and that was because their most direct competitor botched the launch of the PS3. They'll be third party exclusively in no more than 3 years.
