for those who are *clearly* missing the point of an artist going on Live Lounge, let me spell it out for you - an artist does two songs, one their own, one a cover. Raye was trapped in a record contract in which they did not allow her to release the music she wanted. She was silenced and robbed years from her career. She is finally free and an independent artist, and she covered one of Kate's most beautiful and popular songs with her one of a kind voice. She RAN up that fucking hill and into freedom and artistic independence.

I just love her. I discovered her through an interview and hearing her story, I couldn’t not find her music. Hearing her passion through her words was amazing but once I found her music I fell hard.
