Luther Burden: 80 Targets, 61 Receptions, 676 Yards, 6 TouchDowns 306 Pass Snaps: Per PFF 36 Wide Snaps: 11% 261 Slot Snaps: 85% (Player comps on how I view he will be used in an offense/what they would like to develop him as) High Ceiling: Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Rashee Rice, Titans version Calvin Ridley Middle To Floor: Marvin Mims, Curtis Samuel, Laviska Shenault Draft Grade: Mid Day 1 - Early Day 2 Landing Spots: Miami, Pittsburgh, Commanders for 1st Round : 2nd Round Titans, Raiders Pros: Must watch after the catch, his short area quickness makes him tough to manage and contain, his ability to act as sort of a bully when taking on CBs out in space, and his vision to take it to the house. Will go up and attempt to take those contested catch balls. Can use him in variety of ways to add into the run game with jet motion, WR screen and slants. Outside of his playing ability it is interesting to see him declare after a down year and not transfer and play for another year. For me this probably means he has heard good things to declare and will most likely see him go Day 1, in addition him being loyal to a college is very interesting since most of us won't be able to interview him and see how he thinks about the game, training, growing as a player from an outside view I think thats a nice plus to comment on. Cons: Feel like he needed either a better QB or OC to showcase ability to run more variety of routes, his willingness to create after the catch sometimes hurts him in terms of concentration drops, for what fluid ability when he has the ball in space wish that would showcase in his route running as well. Overall: I think he would fit nicely as a WR 2 or WR 3 to start, and develop his route running and ability to manipulate off release, teams that utilize motion and WRs in the run game would value Burden as a huge plus in their offense, I think he may be more fit dependent, if he lands in an offense where they don't play to strengths or even allow him to try running different styles of routes and grow will hurt him in the long run. He will be so much fun in an offense where they can actually give him the ball and can't wait to see how he will preform in the NFL good luck to you Burden wish the best in the draft and your pro career!

I'm here because mock drafts have Bengals selecting him in Rd 1 to replace tee. I'd rather keep tee and jamarr but and if we kept em wouldn't need to draft a WR in Rd 1. But imagine we keep them and draft burden as our slot reciever. We'd score every drive

@macdaddy11116 күн бұрын
Great video Ray! I have to be honest, Burden makes me nervous because he will probably get 1st round NFL Draft capital. While that may not seem too bad, most NFL teams want their 1st round picks to be boundary receivers, not slot guys. Look at the top slot WR's over the years, Keenan Allen, ARSB, Kupp, Godwin, none of them were 1st round picks. Sure, Lamb did start to get more slot snaps in year 3, but last dominant college slot WR to get 1st round draft capital was Treylon Burks, who the Titans tried to force to replace AJ Brown on the outside. Burks failed miserably as a boundary WR in the NFL.
@baller303016 күн бұрын
So you're saying that a slot wideout has a better chance of succeeding if they aren't a 1st rounder? I don't think this is the way you should be looking at it.
@macdaddy11116 күн бұрын
@@baller3030 , I'm looking at it like NFL teams don't want to spend a 1st on a slot WR. So if they do spend a 1st on a slot guy, they are gonna want to change him into a boundary WR. That makes it risky, because some guys can change, and some can't change.
@Brian-fk8zr11 күн бұрын
@@macdaddy111 You're overthinking it. None of the guys you listed are dynamic with the ball in their hands. Burden is a monster after the catch, and he has upside as a downfield receiver. Premium playmakers are rare. He's worth gambling a top 15 pick on and easily worth mid to late first round pick.

Arizona needs him. Only team in the NFC West without a productive slot WR!
@adrianher33259 күн бұрын
Stats are very good, but from the stuff I’ve seen idk how everyone can just have Burden as a clear dominant WR. Will probably be a slot but just doesn’t have that it factor to me compared to guys you see running it at the best level in the NFL. Seems like a dude that needs an offense to be centered around him to make an impact. I’m getting big Jayden Reed vibes of someone who can for sure be an explosive playmaker and game changer but not too sure they can be a dominant WR if they’re not getting the ball behind the LOS or in their hands often
@RayGQue9 күн бұрын
He's a heck of a player but you've nailed it. He's a slot only guy IMO. Scheme is going to be huge for him.
@DailyWorkoutMotive2 күн бұрын
I'm a mizzou grad and I feel like I'm going to be bias and try to get him in too many leauges... bit worried about his route running. It doesn't seem great. If a team isn't going to manufacturer touches.... could be a bust
@RayGQueКүн бұрын
this is why i think he's a slot only guy to start. I don't think you want to line him up outside and tell him to go win. He needs two way releases and as you said created touches.

Why does he remind me of CD when he has the ball in his hands

@macdaddy11116 күн бұрын
@@crangusmcbasketball2931 , I have a feeling that people are going to go crazy after RB's in this draft. Since everyone is starving for RB's. That could well drop Burden down boards. I loaded up on WR's last year, I am after RB's in this year's draft.
