The first one is a nice platformer, but I wouldn't call it an amazing game, and it hasn't aged very well in my opinion. While I do prefer Rayman Origins' more quirky and cartoony style (hard to describe, but you'll understand if you play it and Legends back to back) Rayman Legends is at least a Top 3 platformer, and likely the best of the past two decades or so. The amount of charm and care in this game is downright astonishing. Edit: Forgot how fantastic the first game's soundtrack is. Have a listen if you haven't already, it's good stuff.

Was honestly surprised when I got to this level, I was already pretty enticed by how despite the platforming experience being recurrent, many levels somewhat brought something new to the platforming deal and when it got to this level with its use of music and button timing, I was very blown away by it and had to replay it again just because of how good of a level this was ahahah

I remember i played this with my uncle when i was 7 and we could both not stop laughing. To this day i still think of this level and just remember the fun times i had on this game. Its sad now because all the good games like these have been replaced with shooter games, which dont get me wrong i still enjoy loads, but i just wish more games like rayman could be made so younger generations can have the same fun we had on these type of games when we was younger

...In the switch version the shield holders and ogres stay perfectly still, really dissapointing, this is my favorite level that I’ve played through quite a lot and I wish they could fix that.

It's hilarious how they jump and punch each other etc :D both my xbox360 and wiiu had the animations shown in this video, nostalgic stuff right there ^^ The switch version might've been released with little testing, a small oversight like this can happen and for an old title like rayman legends probably won't get fixed anymore... :)

This can be the best tutorial in a game ever. They made it feel like it was a actual level and they let you experience the game by yourself. It wasn't too hard, too short and not too long. I think a lot of games today should learn from this.
