For the people who want to know where the clip came from: it's in the Beyond Good & Evil (Aug 14, 2003) prototype, that was leaked in Project Deluge last year. Funny how it was hidden in the prototype for one whole year without us even knowing.

To be fair, who would expect to find such a thing in the prototype for an entirely unrelated piece of media? It's actually really funny in one of those "reality is stranger than fiction" sort of ways. It's just one of the weirder, funnier ways of finding things and I love that for it.

Its so wild that this short was found in its entirety! How rayman couldn't be more interesting enough the community found another discovery! The animation looks freaking good and definitely ahead of its time for late 90's.

The animation is actually pretty spiffy for something so old. It's too bad it was compressed to all hell and back on an old Gamecube game prototype, it seems. Also, this looks like a slightly earlier version of his Rayman 2 renders; tbh it actually looks a lot better to me. Resembles both his original appearance and his in-game models more.

So happy to finally see this. We all thought it was lost forever. I take it this has no relation to either the 2D Rayman 2 or the 3D game we got. It's just a fun animation they created before working on Rayman 2 TGE.

This is unironically such a cool animated fight scene. Can't believe this was found but is this really the complete film? The entry on French International Audiovisual Institute website says it's 2min 50sec long and it's missing some of the other clips we know like Rayman in a portal, Rayman playing a game on a screen with a joystick, Rayman training the letters from his name to jump through a hoop. Were these clips from some different animation maybe or is there is still more of Rayman's Training?

I REALLY wish they could of kept Rayman like this, he looks like his original Rayman 1 and 3D design combined from the other games, not a big fan how they keep changing his hair and design for each new game, (the newest version of him is honestly like a bootleg as his whole character is completely redesigned), why couldn’t they just stick to his original classic design like this?
